  • Patent number: 7060749
Abstract: A polyester composition includes a ligand capable of coordinating to a metal or metal ion, wherein the ligand includes at least one donor atom selected from the group consisting of a nitrogen atom, a sulfur atom, and an oxygen atom. Consequently, it is possible to inactivate a metal catalyst which adversely affects heat resistance. As a result, it is possible to obtain polyester compositions and films having excellent heat resistance, colorability, and weathering resistance. Moreover, in the process of producing a polyester, by separating and recovering a catalyst by adding a ligand which is capable of coordinating to a metal or metal ion and which includes at least one donor atom selected from the group consisting of a nitrogen atom, a sulfur atom, and an oxygen atom, it is possible to improve the heat resistance of the polyester composition.

  • Patent number: 7061528
Abstract: To provide a signal processing apparatus and an image pickup signal processing method both of which restrain a color signal from being influenced by band limitation in a color processing system, thereby enabling signal processing which produces an undegraded image, the processing of color-suppressing RGB signals or complementary color signals is performed between a color interpolation circuit and a color-difference matrix circuit. Otherwise, the processing of suppressing a color signal is performed in front of the color interpolation circuit.

  • Patent number: 6924929
Abstract: A microscope apparatus has a sample table for supporting a sample and being mounted to undergo movement in a horizontal direction. A line sensor acquires a line image for each of a series of measuring positions of the sample in accordance with movement of the sample at a constant speed by one measuring width of the line sensor in the horizontal direction. An image processing device produces an image of the sample based on the line images acquired by the line sensor. A focusing device has a light-projecting member for projecting light onto the sample at a position forward of a leading side of an imaging range of the line sensor in the horizontal direction to prevent light reflected by the sample as a result of the projected light from being incident on and interfering with the line images acquired by the line sensor.

  • Publication number: 20030184855
Abstract: A microscope apparatus which is capable of quickly taking a clear image of a sample. A support base supports the sample and a microscope magnifies the sample. A line sensor acquires a line image of the magnified sample and an image processing device produces an image of the sample based on the line image acquired by the line sensor. The support base has an adjusting mechanism for adjusting a tilt thereof and a focal length of the microscope. Focusing is achieved by, means of a light-projecting device for projecting light onto the sample and a light-receiving device for receiving light reflected by the sample and determining a focal length based on deformation of the received light. The light is projected onto the sample at a position in the vicinity of a range on the sample to be imaged by the line sensor. A two-dimensional CCD sensor is used to obtain a two-dimensional image of the sample for setting an imaging region.

  • Publication number: 20020196349
Abstract: A video signal processing apparatus which can perform a liquid crystal display without a deterioration of a picture quality even when a CCD sensor of the NTSC system is used at the time of the PAL system is provided. The video signal processing apparatus has a 1H delay circuit and a selecting circuit. Upon PAL system, by switching the selecting circuit once every seven lines and performing a pre-interpolation, the lines are compensated from 485 lines (vertical) of the NTSC system to 575 lines (vertical) of the PAL system. In case of performing the liquid crystal display, the timing of an interpolation (LCOMP) signal is synchronized with the timing of the EN signal upon PAL system so as to coincide the portion of the lines to be compensated from 485 lines (vertical) of the NTSC system to 575 lines (vertical) of the PAL system with the portion to be thinned out at a rate of 1 line per 7 lines in the liquid crystal display.

  • Publication number: 20020033900
Abstract: A resizing circuit resizes an output image from an image pickup element to be suitable for an LCD (liquid crystal display) panel, and inputs the resized image data to a P/S (parallel-to-serial) converter through a memory interface, an FIFO (first-in, first-out) memory, a dot sequential conversion circuit and a sync signal addition circuit. The P/S converter converts eight-bit parallel data into one to four serial data, and transfers the converted data to an LCD control circuit. The LCD control circuit parallelizes the input serial data, converts it into an analog image signal, and transfers the analog image signal to the LCD panel.

  • Patent number: 5761348
Abstract: In outputting data input in units of a bits in units of b bits (a<b) using a memory for storing data, the reading of the memory is controlled such that a first item of b-bit data is formed in so as to include all of a first item of a-bit data. Items of b-bit data succeeding the first item of the b-bit data are formed by using b/k bits taken from each of k items of a-bit data of those items of the a-bit data succeeding the first item of a-bit data, and the portion of the first item of b-bit data other than the first item of a-bit data is formed of (a-b/k) bits in the succeeding items of a-bit data (where a, b and k are integers), whereby the units in data processing can be changed by a simple construction and improvement in data transfer efficiency can be achieved.

  • Patent number: 5708167
Abstract: Proposed is a novel and very efficient method for the preparation of an N-vinyl compound such as N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone and N-vinyl-N-ethyl acetamide by the thermal decomposition of an N-(.alpha.-acyloxyethyl) compound which is a novel compound obtained by the addition reaction between an NH group-containing compound such as 2-pyrrolidone and N-ethyl acetamide and a vinyl carboxylate, e.g., vinyl acetate, in the presence of an alkali, e.g. alkali metal hydroxide. The reaction mixture after completion of this addition reaction as such, i.e. without isolating the N-(.alpha.-acyloxyethyl) compound, such as N-(.alpha.-acetoxyethyl)-2-pyrrolidone and N-(.alpha.-acetoxyethyl)-N-ethyl acetamide, is heated to effect in situ formation of the desired N-vinyl compound which can then be isolated by distillation under reduced pressure in a very high overall yield.
