  • Publication number: 20070064865
Abstract: A PET gantry and a CT gantry are placed in parallel such that the CT gantry becomes remoter to a common examination couch having a movable couch table top board mounted with a subject person and the CT gantry is made to be movable. The gantries are controlled by a control portion in a console. At first, the CT gantry is moved in a left direction to separate from the PET gantry so that whole body CT scan is carried out for the subject person in a direction from the leg portion to the head portion. Successively, the subject person is passed through a tunnel portion from the leg portion to the head portion by moving the couch table top board in a right direction in a state of considerably separating the CT gantry from the PET gantry to thereby carry out whole body PET scan.

  • Publication number: 20060220407
Abstract: A storage box structure includes a pair of left and right seat cowls for covering sides of a vehicle body frame under a seat. Storage boxes are formed by the seat cowls so as to protrude outwardly in the direction of the vehicle width and provided with openable and closable lids on the outsides of a vehicle. The storage boxes include a projection projecting toward the center of the vehicle body. The projection includes an opening which is in communication with the interior of the storage box and is fitted at least to the projection of the other storage box. The opening brings the interiors of the left and right storage boxes into communication with each other. The storage box structure so configured achieves a reduction of the number of components, improvement of rigidity, and improvement of mounting accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20060020434
Abstract: A calculating apparatus includes a finite element model creating unit that creates a finite element model of the wire structure, a setting unit that sets physical properties, restriction conditions and loads of the wire structure to the finite element model, a predictive shape calculating unit that calculates a predictive shape of the finite element model in a physically balanced condition, an outputting unit that outputs the predictive shape of the finite element model, a load calculating unit that calculates the loads which are applied to the respective joints of the finite element model, a displacing unit that displaces a predetermined control point on the finite element model. The predictive shape calculating unit calculates the predictive shape of the finite element model in which the control point is displaced, based on the loads applied to the finite element model prior to the displacement of the control point.

  • Patent number: 6373916
Abstract: An X-ray CT apparatus for reconstructing images based on transmitted X-ray detection data acquired by emitting a conical X-ray beam from around an object and outputted from a flat panel X-ray sensor. In advance of CT imaging, a reconstruct area for CT imaging is displayed on a display monitor as superimposed on a fluoroscopic image acquired by irradiating the object with X rays emitted from a selected direction around the object. The operator can determine, before executing the CT imaging, whether a site of interest to be imaged is within the reconstruct area, thereby reliably acquiring CT images of desired sections.

  • Patent number: 5555239
Abstract: A reduction in the size of a CD player is achieved by making the transfer roller horizontally displaceable between a first position, adjacent the disk storage magazine, and a second position, adjacent the turntable. The roller is displaced to the first position while a disk is being played. Further size reduction is achieved by making the turntable horizontally displaceable between a first position, remote from the storage magazine, and a second position, closer thereto. The turntable is in the second position while a disk is being played.

  • Patent number: 5379329
Abstract: In a method for inspecting a dished end face of a nuclear fuel pellet, a focused beam of light is emitted to a dish of the end face of the nuclear fuel pellet while a parallel beam of light is being emitted to the end face thereof. An image of the end face of the nuclear fuel pellet is picked up and the quality of the pellet is judged based on the picked-up image. An apparatus for inspecting a dished end face of a nuclear fuel pellet is also disclosed. The inspection apparatus includes a handling unit for holding the pellet during inspection, a lighting unit for lighting the end face of the pellet, an image pick-up unit disposed adjacent to the handling unit for picking up image data as to the end face of the pellet, and a judging unit operably connected to the image pick-up unit for analyzing the image data outputted from the image pick-up unit to judge quality of the nuclear fuel pellet.
