  • Patent number: 8945369
Abstract: There is provided a biosensor measurement system which can output a highly-precise measurement result even when an impact such as falling of the sensor occurs or the biosensor is an exposed sensor. An abnormal waveform detection electrode is provided in addition to electrodes for quantitative determination of a target substance. Therefore, when an impact is caused by such as falling of the sensor in a halt period where no voltage is applied in a voltage application algorithm, the abnormal waveform detection electrode can detect the impact. Further, also an exposed sensor can be detected by the abnormal waveform which is detected by the abnormal waveform detection electrode.

  • Publication number: 20090134023
Abstract: In a biosensor of the present invention, BSA is contained in a reagent layer including a reagent which reacts specifically with glucose, and the glucose concentration in whole blood as a sample solution is electrochemically measured. When the sensor response characteristics when whole blood is used as the sample solution are measured, the influence by hematocrit to the sensor response characteristics is reduced according to the additive amount of BSA when the hematocrit value is in the range of 25% and below, while no BSA addition effect is recognized in the sensor response characteristics when the hematocrit value is in the range of 25 to 65%. Thereby, the influences by hematocrit and temperature can be reduced, and thus highly precise measurement can be performed.

  • Publication number: 20090065356
Abstract: In a biosensor for measuring glucose in a liquid sample, an additive agent which is one of an organic acid or organic acid salt having at least one carboxyl group in a molecule, an organic acid or organic acid salt having at least one amino group or carbonyl group in a molecule, a sugar alcohol, and a solubilized protein, or a combination thereof is added into a reagent layer including glucose dehydrogenase having flavin adenine dinucleotide as a coenzyme, which is provided on an insulating substrate. Thereby, the substrate specificity to glucose and the preservation stability can be enhanced, and further, reactions to sugars other than glucose can be avoided.

  • Patent number: 7365508
Abstract: A motor comprises: coil on/off switching devices for switching between an on-state wherein current is supplied to the coils, and a first off-state wherein the coil terminals are open-circuited or a second off-state wherein the coil terminals are short-circuited; and a coil current control device for controlling switching operations of the coil on/off switching devices according to commands input to the motor. In the event that motor movement with great mechanical compliance is required, the ratio of the period of the first off-state is increased, and on the other hand, in the event that motor movement with great viscosity resistance is required, the ratio of the period of the second off-state is increased. This solves the problems of torque loss and cogging during a period wherein no current is applied to the coil.
