  • Patent number: 6147152
Abstract: A polypropylene resin composition is diclosed which comprises (a) 50-80% by weight of a specific polypropylene/ethylene-propylene copolymer composition, (b) 5-40% by weight of a specific ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer rubber, (c) 1-10% by weight of a specific hydrogenated diene block copolymer, and (d) 10-30% by weight of talc, wherein the polypropylene component of the component (a) has a melt flow rate of 100-1,000 g/10 min and a C.sub.f value (cross fractionation ratio) of not more than 0.5. The resin composition has excellent flowability and can impart excellent rigidity, high-temperature rigidity and impact resistance, and well-balanced combination thereof to the molded articles.

  • Patent number: 6005034
Abstract: A propylene-ethylene copolymer composition is obtained which has good moldability and an excellent balance of rigidity, toughness, and impact-strength. The composition has a melt flow rate of 10 to 300 g/10 minutes and is obtained by producing 60 to 95% by weight, based on the weight of whole polymer, of a propylene polymer having a melt flow rate (ASTM D1238) in the range of 100 to 1,000 g/10 minutes and having a ratio (Cf) of integrated values of the propylene polymer dissolved in o-dichlorobenzene at a temperature of lower than 112.degree. C., and a temperature of 112.degree. C. or higher, respectively, of 0.5 or less, by carrying out polymerization of propylene in the presence of a highly stereoregular catalyst and hydrogen in a polymerization step (I), and then producing 5 to 40% by weight, based on the weight of whole polymer, of an ethylene-propylene copolymer by feeding ethylene and propylene to the propylene polymer to react so that the content of ethylene becomes 30 to 80% by weight.

  • Patent number: 4869739
Abstract: A fuel vapor collecting device comprising an activated carbon receiving chamber filled with activated carbon particles. Each of the activated carbon particles contains heat accumulating solid fillers which are uniformly distributed therein. The heat accumulating solid fillers are made of a metallic material having a specific heat which is larger than that of the activated carbon.

  • Patent number: 4746570
Abstract: A heat-resistant, highly expansible sheet material for supporting a catalyst carrier containing unexpanded vermiculite, in which the cations contained between the layers of the vermiculite are at least partly exchanged by ammonium cations, is provided. A process for the preparation of the sheet material, which involves blending an unexpanded vermiculite which has been preliminarily immersed in an aqueous solution containing alkali metal ions, inorganic fiber, an organic binder, and an inorganic binder, whereto a slurry solution of beaten natural organic fiber is added, and forming a sheet material from the mixture, is described.

  • Patent number: 4308830
Abstract: In an internal combustion engine which is provided with a throttle valve of the type which, when slightly opened, provides a flow of intake gases which is biased towards one particular side of the intake passage, a vane is provided, which particularly directs gases passing near that one particular side of the intake passage towards a portion of the edge of the inlet port which is most remote from the central axis of the power cylinder, whereby good swirl and turbulence are generated in the power cylinder, especially during low and medium load operation of the engine.

  • Patent number: 4308829
Abstract: In an internal combustion engine which is provided with a throttle valve of the type which, when slightly opened, provides a flow of intake gases which is biased towards one particular side of the intake passage, and which is provided with a helical type inlet port which has a helical surface leading to the combustion chamber which imparts swirl to inlet gases, a vane is provided, which particularly directs gases passing near that one particular side of the intake passage towards the start of the helical surface, whereby good swirl and turbulence are generated in the power cylinder, especially during low and medium load operation of the engine.
