  • Patent number: 7802347
Abstract: A slide fastener slider, in which a pair of projecting portions are formed such that they project from shoulder mouth side end portions of a pair of flanges to a shoulder mouth side, the flanges being erected on both right and left sides of a lower plate. Each projecting portion is constituted of a stepped portion formed by extending from the shoulder mouth side end portion of each flange to the shoulder mouth side, and a downward slope formed from the stepped portion up to a top face of the lower plate. The pair of projecting portions allow an inclination of a leg portion of a fastener element to be returned to a substantially horizontal state, thereby preventing contact between a fastener tape and each flange to block breaking of threads in the fastener tape.

  • Patent number: 7520032
Abstract: The invention provides a linear slide fastener wherein a concave portion accommodating a fixing thread for fixing a fastener tape is provided on a top face of an upper leg portion of a coil-like/zigzag-like linear fastener element, when dimensions from a bottom face of a lower leg portion to a top face of the upper leg portion on a coupling head side, at the concave portion and on an inverted portion side are assumed to be H1, H2 and H3, a setting condition of H1>H3>H2 is satisfied and when dimensions from a bottom face of the upper leg portion to a top face of the lower leg portion within a gap portion on the coupling head side, at a convex portion and on the inverted portion side are assumed to be H4, H5 and H6 respectively, a setting condition of H4>H6>H5 is satisfied.

  • Patent number: 6497015
Abstract: A coil-shaped fastener element is comprised of a coupling head bulging to both sides, upper/lower leg portions adjacent the coupling head and a connecting portion for connecting the upper and lower leg portions. With providing a stepped portion in a center of the upper leg portion, a portion of the fastener element on a side of the coupling head is formed thick while a portion thereof on a side of the connecting portion is formed thin. A coupling space is provided between the upper and lower leg portions. A protruded portion protruded into the coupling space is provided in a back of the stepped portion of the upper leg portion. A slope portion is formed such that the coupling space is expanded from an inside of an upper portion of the coupling head to a base portion of the protruded portion.

  • Patent number: 6302676
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for manufacturing a slide fastener spiral continuous element row wherein a monofilament is carried on a mandrel while ensuring an accurate pitch of elements even in a high-speed operation and a stepped form of an upper leg portion can be accurately formed at a predetermined portion of each the element. In order to continuously manufacture the slide fastener spiral element row from the continuous monofilament made of synthetic resin, the monofilament transferred continuously is wound spirally around the mandrel and carried while being retained between screw grooves of opposed screws. Then, a coupling head is formed by hitting a portion of the spiral monofilament carried on the mandrel by a pressing roller, the portion corresponding to the coupling head. After that, a stepped upper leg portion is formed by pressing a portion of the spiral monofilament by a rotary hammer at a predetermined position on the mandrel, the portion corresponding to the upper leg portion.

  • Patent number: 5167051
Abstract: A continuous row of interlocking fastener elements made of a plastic monofilament is used on a slide fastener. The coupling head of each fastener element has in its front face at the middle a groove extending longitudinally of the fastener element row and also has, one on its each side, a pair of opposed arcuate protuberances merging with the bottom of the groove and protruding longitudinally of the fastener element row.
