  • Patent number: 5304623
Abstract: One-pack type heat precurable moisture-curing sealant composition which comprises as the main component:(A) a urethane prepolymer having a content of an active free isocyanate group (NCO) of 1 to 6 % by weight which is prepared by reacting a polyol and an excess amount of an aromatic polyisocyanate compound,(B) a vinyl polymer containing a siloxy group and having a number average molecular weight of 3,000 to 30,000, and(C) a partially inactivated solid polyisocyanate compound, which can be precured at a comparatively lower temperature within a short period of time and cured with moisture in air, is useful for adhering various parts in automobiles and the construction industries without temporary holding means.

  • Patent number: 5204391
Abstract: Provided are novel blocked polyisocyanurates to be suitably used as an adhesiveness providing agent, coating material, sealant and crosslinking agent for polymers containing active hydrogens. Also provided are polyvinyl chloride plastisol compositions comprising a polyvinyl chloride resin, the above blocked polyisocyanurate as an adhesiveness providing agent, plasticizer and a specific agent for accelerating dissociation of the blocked polyisocyanurate. These compositions have excellent properties such as high adhesiveness even cured at low temperatures and resistance to yellowing, and are suitably used particularly as sealants for car body.

  • Patent number: 5034453
Abstract: A moisture-curing hot-melt sealant which comprises a polyurethane prepolymer which is prepared by reacting (a) a polyol component comprising a mixture of a thermoplastic saturated polyester polyol having a hydroxyl group at the terminus and having a molecular weight of 8,000 to 25,000 and a thermoplastic or liquid polyol having a hydroxyl group at the terminus and having a molecular weight of not more than 5,000 which is compatible with the thermoplastic saturated polyester polyol in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:8 by mole, and (b) a polyisocyanate compound having two or more isocyanate groups in the molecule thereof in an equivalent ratio of isocyanate group/hydroxyl group of 1.4 to 3 in admixture with the conventional additives. Said sealant has excellent heat resistance and initial properties and is suitable for adhering, for example, window glass of automobiles, particularly in cold district.

  • Patent number: 4983655
Abstract: A plastisol composition comprising polyvinyl chloride as a main component, a plasticizer and a blocked compound of diisocyanate polymer with styrenated phenol as an adhesion-improver, and optionally a powdery curing agent having a melting point of 50.degree. to 150.degree. C. which is surface-treated, said composition having improved adhesion properties when gelated under low temperature conditions such as at 110.degree. to 130.degree. C. for 15 to 30 minutes and being useful as an adhesive, a sealant, or a coating agent, particularly as a sealant for the body of automobiles, and a novel blocked polyisocyanurate compound useful as an adhesion-improver for the above plastisol composition and also as an adhesive, a coating agent, a sealant, and an crosslinking agent for an active hydrogen-containing high molecular weight compound.
