  • Patent number: 5904585
Abstract: A rotary connector is disclosed. In the rotary connector, a movable housing having a second top plate is rotatably connected to a fixed housing having a first top plate, and a part of the second top plate is overlapped on the first top plate. At the overlapping portion of the first and second top plates, a ring-shaped first projection projecting upward is formed on the inner periphery of the first top plate, and ring-shaped second and third projections each projecting downward are formed on the second top plate. The third projection is in abutment with the inner peripheral surface of the first top plate so as to serve as a rotary slide sections for the first and second housings, and the second projection is arranged outside of the third and first projections.

  • Patent number: 5133423
Abstract: A power steering apparatus in which a motor for assisting steering force is mounted in such a manner that it is positioned substantially in parallel to a rack shaft of a rack-pinion type steering mechanism, and a planetary roller reduction device and a bevel gear connected directly thereto are mounted to the rotary shaft of the motor, coaxially with the motor, whereby the speed of the turning force of the motor may be reduced sufficiently and thus decelerated turning force is transmitted to the rack shaft, to permit compact disposing of the motor and the reduction device around the steering mechanism. In one embodiment of the invention the motor is mounted below the rack shaft and in another above the rack shaft between the steering wheel and the rack shaft.

  • Patent number: 5098028
Abstract: In a clock spring connector using cables for electrical connection between a stationary member and a movable member which is rotatably mounted in relation to the stationary member, spiral or concentrical cable stowage grooves on both the stationary and the movable side are provided in a space for cable stowage, the cables being wound along either one of these cable stowage grooves and the remaining portion of the cables being wound reversely along the other cable stowage grooves, thereby decreasing the required length of the cables to half the amount of a rotation of the movable member.

  • Patent number: 4679025
Abstract: An electrical part, either of rotary type or linear slide type, including a circuit pattern, a sliding member sliding on the circuit pattern, and an operating member for operating the sliding member, in which the circuit pattern is provided on a circuit sheet made of an insulating film, the circuit sheet is sandwiched between a pair of support plates, means for slidably and engagedly holding the operating member is provided on either of the support plates, and the operating member is projected out of a through hole provided in the support plate.

  • Patent number: 4579018
Abstract: A band selector switch comprises a rotor having click teeth on its outer circumferential surface, a sleeve rotatably fitted in the rotor and composed of a plurality of axial resilient pieces separated by axial slits defined in the sleeve, the resilient pieces having click grooves defined in inner peripheral surfaces thereof for engaging the click teeth, one of the resilient pieces being deformable radially outwardly, and stop surfaces disposed radially outwardly of those resilient pieces disposed on opposite sides of the one deformable resilient piece for preventing the resilient pieces on opposite sides of the deformable resilient piece from being deformed radially outwardly. The click teeth are prevented by the undeformable resilient pieces from entering the latter, thus limiting the range of angular movement of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 4502034
Abstract: An electrical component comprises a holder having shaft holes and a plurality of rotary members each consisting of a shaft portion fitting into a respective shaft hole in the holder. Connection members formed unitarily with the rotary members each connects a rotary member to at east one other rotary members adjacent to it; and break-off portions formed on the connection member are capable of breaking easily from the rotary members when the rotary members are forced to rotate.
