  • Patent number: 9258850
Abstract: A heating chamber is divided into a plurality of spaces by barrier sections including a conductive material. Phase shifters having different lengths with respect to a direction and including a dielectric body having permittivity higher than air are inserted in positions of a terminal section, in the spaces except for at least one space, to differentiate positions of bottoms of standing microwaves formed in the respective spaces from each other with respect to the direction. In addition, impedance adjusters having different lengths with respect to the direction and including a dielectric body having permittivity higher than air are inserted in positions on an upstream side of a region passed by the object to be heated, in the spaces except for at least one space, to reduce differences in impedance of the spaces from an entrance of the heating chamber to the terminal section including the phase shifters.

  • Patent number: 8831500
Abstract: A microwave heating device includes a microwave generating portion outputting a microwave, a conductive heating chamber into which the microwave is led and having a short-circuited terminal end in a traveling direction of the microwave, and a tuner provided between the microwave generating portion and the heating chamber. The heating chamber has an opening for passing a member to be heated therethrough. The tuner re-reflects the microwave reflected at the terminal end of the heating chamber onto the heating chamber side. The microwave output end of the microwave generating portion and the tuner are connected by a square tubular waveguide made of a conductive material. The tuner and the terminal end of the heating chamber are connected by a square tubular waveguide, which is made of a conductive material except for the opening for passing the member to be heated therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20070076268
Abstract: An image forming device includes a document table for placing a document whose image is to be acquired and an image acquiring unit fixed at a position above the document table for acquiring an image of the document from above. The image forming device further includes a display unit for displaying the acquired image data, an image forming unit for forming an image of the acquired image data on an image forming medium, and a control unit. The control unit controls the image acquiring unit to acquire image data of the document, processes the acquired image data to cause the display unit to display the same, and processes the acquired image data to cause the image forming unit to perform an image forming operation.

  • Patent number: 6281961
Abstract: In a vertical type developing device in which plurality of screws are arranged up and down, developer transported by an upper developer transporting screw and developer transported by lower developer transporting screw are properly dispersed. Thereby, developer flows smoothly and further stirs and mixes. As means of it, the followings are included: (1) between the upper screw and the lower screw, properly adjusting developer transporting capabilities and dispersing pressures; (2) arrangement of dispersing members between the upper and lower developer transporting screws; (3) arrangement of openings at a partition wall; (4) arrangement of a developer reservoir portions to a developer accommodating unit; or the like.

  • Patent number: 5963766
Abstract: A supply screw 10 and a collection screw 20 for a developing device equip with screw blades having different forms at particular sections so as to make conveying force of developer different depending on sections. Screw blades for big conveying force are attached within sections where developer distribution is dense while screw blades for small conveying force are attached within sections where developer distribution is sparse. In other words, conveying force is made to be greater at sparse-distribution section while smaller at dense-distribution section. Developer delivery is also promoted by providing different conveying force area within carry-up area where developer is carried up from a supply screw 10 to a collection screw 20 or vice versa. By making conveying force of each section different, developer is uniformly delivered to a developing roll 87 whether in width direction or in axial direction. Furthermore, developer circulation in a developing device becomes smooth.

  • Patent number: 5682583
Abstract: A developing device having a developing sleeve opposed to a photoreceptor, and a developer transport portion adjacent to the sleeve. The developer transport portion is divided into first and second portions by a partition, and the developer is circulated between the first and second portions. A fresh toner is supplied to the developer in the second portion to be transported to the first portion while being mixed, and thereafter is supplied to the sleeve along an axial direction of the sleeve in the first portion. The second portion is provided with a transport member by which the developer is transported at an upstream side of the second portion with respect to the developer transport direction in the second portion with a speed faster than the toner supply speed and the transport speed of the developer at a downstream side of the first portion with respect to the developer transport direction in the second portion.
