  • Patent number: 11922649
Abstract: It provides the measurement data of each portion of the target object with a high accuracy. The measurement data calculation apparatus 1020 includes an obtaining unit 1024A, an extraction unit 1024B, a conversion unit 1024C, and a calculation unit 1024D. The obtaining unit 1024A obtains the image data in which the target object is photographed and the full length data of the target object. The extraction unit 1024B extracts the shape data indicating the shape of the target object from the image data. The conversion unit 1024C converts and silhouettes the shape data based on the full length data. The calculation unit 1024D uses the shape data converted by the conversion unit 1024C to calculate the measurement data of each portion of the target object.

  • Patent number: 7905203
Abstract: In an oil cooler, a heat exchange core is housed in a casing including a cylindrical sidewall part in a way that a cooling water passage is formed around a heat exchange core. The heat exchange core includes inlet-side and outlet-side oil passages, and enables oil to be delivered from the inlet-side oil passage to the outlet-side oil passage. Inlet and outlet pipes are connected to the sidewall part. The inlet pipe forms a cooling water inlet passage in communication with the cooling water passage. The outlet pipe forms a cooling water outlet passage in communication with the cooling water passage. Outward of the inlet-side oil passage, an outwardly swelling part is formed in the sidewall part of the casing. This arrangement avoids the oil cooler being constructed in a large size and avoids decreasing the heat exchange efficiency of the oil cooler, and also prevents cavitation and erosion from occurring due to the flow of cooling water in an area corresponding to the inlet-side oil passage.

  • Publication number: 20090056741
Abstract: A pattern formation apparatus has a drum-like intaglio rolling along a transferred medium. After the intaglio is charged by a charger, a pattern of toner particles is formed by supplying a liquid developer of each color to the intaglio via a developing machine and an electric field is formed between the intaglio and the transferred medium by rolling the intaglio along the transferred medium to transfer charged toner particles to the transferred medium. A cleaning apparatus which cleans the intaglio after the pattern in each color being transferred to the transferred medium has nozzles at an angle for blowing a cleaning liquid against recesses and removal rollers for removing toner particles liberated from the recesses together with the cleaning liquid.

  • Patent number: 6739378
Abstract: A controlling member (a controlling pin 10) is inserted through an insertion hole 7 of a mold 1 and projected into a cavity 6. After a pipe P as an insert member is arranged at a predetermined position in the cavity 6, the pipe P is held in the cavity 6 by inserting a tip of the controlling pin 10 into a hole h of the pipe P at the end p1, or by inserting the end p1 of the pipe P into a cave 21 of the controlling member. A molten aluminum alloy is then poured through a gate 5 into the cavity 6 under such the condition, to enclose the pipe P with the aluminum alloy. Dislocation of the pipe P caused by kinetic and thermal energies of the poured aluminum alloy is suppressed by the controlling pin 10 or block 20 at the end p1. Since the enclosed pipe P has its end p1 opened at a predetermined position, a cast product obtained in this way can be used as a brake caliper or the like having an inner hydraulic circuit.

  • Patent number: 6648054
Abstract: The present invention provides a die-casting method comprising the steps of evacuating a cavity 30 defined by dies of a die-casting machine to provide therein a vacuum of 100 millibar or less during a first period, injecting a reactive gas from a sleeve of the die-casting machine into the cavity 30 during a second period which has a partial overlap period with the first period and follows the overlap period, so as to increase the inner pressure of the cavity to atmospheric pressure or more, pouring a molten aluminum alloy M into the sleeve 40 while keeping the injection of the reactive gas, and subsequently moving a plunger 42 in the sleeve forward to forcibly inject the molten aluminum alloy from the sleeve into the cavity 30 while re-evacuating the cavity 30. The evacuation, reactive-gas injection and re-evacuation operations can be performed with respective overlap periods therebetween.

  • Publication number: 20020039276
Abstract: A display housing coupled to a PC housing of a notebook PC can be opened and closed with respect to the PC housing. A display panel is provided in the front of the display housing. Card-holding sections are provided in the right-side part of the front. Each card-holding section has a recess opening at the front. An elastic strip is provided at the lower edge of each card-holding section. Contacts are provided at the upper edge of the each card-holding section. To insert a SD card, which has a connector, into any card-holding section, the user pushes the SD card onto the elastic strip, at the lower edge of the card, until the card is fitted into the recess. Thereafter, the elastic strip biases the card upwards, keeping the connector in the contacts provided at the upper edge of the card-holding section.

  • Patent number: 5812843
Abstract: In an information processing system running under two different operating systems (OS), a job entry unit enters a control program of a job, which is executed by the second operating system, via the first operating system. A language conversion/transfer unit converts the control program into a program for the second operating system, and transfers it to the second operating system. A data conversion/transfer unit mutually performs conversion and a transfer between files used for the first operating system and files used for the second operating system. A job execution unit executes the program for the second operating system using transferred data included in the files used for the second operating system. Thus, a user can execute the job without being conscious of differences between the operating systems.
