  • Publication number: 20220176382
Abstract: Provided is a monitoring system for a milling facility, which includes a plurality of grinders including roll mills for grinding a material to be milled and sifting machines for sifting, according to grain size, the material to be milled as ground by the roll mills; and a plurality of pulverizers including roll mills for pulverizing the material to be milled and sifting machines for sifting, according to grain size, the material to be milled as pulverized by the roll mills. The material to be milled is milled by each of the grinders and pulverizers. A plurality of flow rate measuring devices are provided on respective flow paths for product flours discharged from the respective sifting machines in the respective grinders and pulverizers, and a monitoring device capable of monitoring presence or absence of an abnormality based on measurement results on respective flow rates of the product flours is provided.

  • Patent number: 6772969
Abstract: A break roll machine wherein a timing belt of a differential transmission mechanism can be removed easily and wherein the removal of a roll pack module from a machine frame and the installation of the new pre-assembled roll pack module can be performed easily in a short time is disclosed. A cutout portion is provided to one of a paired tension arms so that the one tension arm is rotatable around a pivot point at an upper portion of the tension arm. As a rotary shaft of an idler pulley is released from the tension arm through the cutout portion, the timing belt can be removed easily. An air cylinder is rotated freely by a first and a second linkage member. An operator can easily access to a bolt located behind the air cylinder only by inclining the air cylinder at any desired direction.

  • Patent number: 5846591
Abstract: A pretreatment process in a flour milling method in which raw wheat grains are first polished and the polished grains are ground and milled for producing end flour, includes a first, a second, a third polishing step, and a step of adding water. In the first polishing step a pericarp of each wheat grain is removed, in the second polishing step a seed coat of each raw wheat grain is removed, and in the third polishing step a part of cell walls of aleuron layer cells that was in contact with the removed seed coat is removed so that a cell membrane of the aleuron layer cell is caused to be ruptured and that a substance in the aleuron layer cell is caused to be in a state which permits the substance to flow out.

  • Patent number: 5773066
Abstract: Raw wheat grains are polished after being subjected to a first water addition and being tempered, and the polished wheat grains are ground after being subjected to a second water addition and being tempered. The first water addition is to cause the raw wheat grains to have a water content of 12-14%. The tempering of the raw wheat grains is performed for 16-36 hours so that the water sufficiently penetrate into the inside of the raw wheat grains. The method of flouring includes the steps of measuring a water content of the flour obtained by the grinding of the grains, comparing the amount of the measured water content with a predetermined target water content of the flour, and adjusting the amount of water to be added during the second water addition if there is a difference between the measured water content and the predetermined target water content.

  • Patent number: 5390589
Abstract: A pearling machine has an abrasive type pearling roll assembly which is formed by stacking a plurality of pearling rolls via intervening air blowing spacers. Stirring bars are secured to the outer periphery of the individual pearling rolls. Resistance bars are provided on the inner surface of a vertical polygonal bran removal cylinder. With a cooperative function of the stirring and resistance bars, grains supplied to a pearling chamber defined by the pearling roll assembly and the bran removal cylinder receive active spinning and revolution action. The grains thus receive uniform cutting action, and thus they are pearled uniformly. The vertical pearling machine permits optimum pearling of grains in dependence on the kind and character of the grains and is suited particularly to the pearling of tempered wheat with outer layer part having been made tough and inner layer part having been made soft.

  • Patent number: 5271570
Abstract: A flour milling method and system therefor comprising the steps of separating foreign materials from raw wheat, humidifying the raw wheat, polishing the raw wheat, and conditioning the polished wheat, further comprises a step of cleaning the polished wheat at a subsequent step of the polishing the raw wheat. The flour milling method and system therefor may further comprises a step of stirring the cleaned polished wheat at a subsequent step of the cleaning step of the polished wheat. The bran powder which has been entered into the creases of the polished wheat at the polishing step, absorbs cleaning water and then flows out from the creases with the cleaning water. Since the bran powders in the creases of the polished wheat can be removed effectively, the milling efficiency is improved.
