  • Patent number: 9291403
Abstract: A heat exchanger has a core case, at least one fin case disposed in the core case, and pair of upper and lower fins disposed in the fin case. The fin case has an inlet part, an outlet part, and a middle part disposed between the inlet and outlet parts. Each of the upper and lower fins has top and bottom portions. The upper and lower fins are disposed within the fin case so that the upper and lower fins are not in contact with each other at the inlet and outlet parts of the fin case and so that the bottom portions of the upper fin are in contact with respective ones of the top portions of the lower fin at the middle part of the fin case.

  • Patent number: 8893383
Abstract: An apparatus compresses a mat against a cylindrical catalyst to provide an exhaust gas cleaning device having the catalyst and the mat wrapped around the catalyst. The apparatus has a base to which first and second rods are movably mounted, and first and second pressers connected to respective ones of the first and second rods. A first drive mechanism moves the first, but not the second, rods to bring the first pressers into contact with first peripheral surface portions of the mat so that second peripheral surface portions of the mat are formed into respective convex portions. A second drive mechanism moves the second rods to bring the second pressers into contact with the convex portions of the mat to compress the convex portions while the first pressers are maintained in pressure contact with the first peripheral surface portions of the mat.

  • Publication number: 20110240270
Abstract: A heat exchanger includes fin cases each housing a pair of upper and lower fins. Each of the upper and lower fins has top and bottom portions. The upper and lower fins are oriented differently from each other such that first centerlines of the bottom portions of the upper fin intersect second centerlines of the top portions of the lower fin. The upper and lower fins are in contact with each other at locations where the first centerlines intersect the second centerlines. At these locations, the upper and lower fins support each other to strengthen the fin case such that the fin case bears loads applied to the fin case in a direction towards an inside of the fin case. The upper and lower fins have larger heat transfer area at locations where the fins are not in contact with each other.

  • Publication number: 20100154215
Abstract: A method for wrapping a mat (52) around a catalyst (57) used in an exhaust gas cleaning device and compressing the mat is disclosed. Odd-numbered first presser (15), third presser (24), and fifth presser (32) are caused to move forward in the manner of the arrow (3), and the mat is compressed. The mat is then completely compressed by causing even-numbered second presser (19), fourth presser (31), and sixth presser (33) to move forward.

  • Patent number: 5789499
Abstract: A process is provided for the polymerization of vinyl chloride in a closed mode. According to the process, oxygen is caused to exist in a polymerizer, which is coated with an anti-fouling agent, during an operation in which the polymerization is repeated. The process according to this invention has made it possible to fully exhibit effects of the anti-fouling. This has in turn made it possible to achieve polymerization of vinyl chloride in the closed mode, leading to an improvement in productivity.

  • Patent number: 5784803
Abstract: A pipe coil is heated in the furnace of a heat treatment apparatus. The oil adhered to the inside of the pipe is vaporized by this heating. In this state the oil removing gas is fed at one end into the pipe which gas is in the high temperature enough to maintain the vaporizing condition of the oil. The vaporized oil within the pipe is discharged by the feeding of the gas at the other end of the pipe while the oil is in the vaporized state.

  • Patent number: 5401089
Abstract: A lifter particularly usable for an LC display unit includes a slide board bearing the display unit overhead and driven for vertical movement by a lift drive motor associated with a swing arm kept in rolling contact with the slide board, a gear assembly mounted to the slide board for converting rotation of a tilt drive motor into corresponding tilting of the display unit, and various sensors for controlling rotation of the motors on detection of the positions of the display unit. Vertical movement of the display unit requires a quarter rotation of the swing arm which is very small in ambit and, as a consequence, a compact and light design of the entire lifter construction. The rolling contact of the swing arm with the slide board assures reliable fail-safe function when smooth vertical movement of the slide board is hindered by accidental introduction of a foreign matter in its path of travel.

  • Patent number: 5167697
Abstract: A substrate material for mounting a semiconductor device thereon, comprises a skeleton prepared by liquid-phase presintering the composition of W and/or Mo powder in which Cu and/or Ag powder is uniformly dispersed, and a Cu and/or Ag phase infiltrated into the pores of the skeleton. The total amount of Cu and/or Ag in the product is adjusted to 10-50 vol. %. The substrate material is manufactured by two steps of: presintering the Cu and/or Ag-contng. powdery composition to form a porous skeleton, and infiltrating Cu and/or Ag into the pores of the skeleton. Since the skeleton contng. Cu and/or Ag exhibits an excellent affinity to molten Cu and/or Ag, the infiltration of molten Cu and/or Ag is performed uniformly into every nook and corner of the skeleton. Consequently, the obtained product is free from pores which would deteriorate a junction plane between the substrate and a semiconductor device mounted thereon.

  • Patent number: 4742612
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a wire harness with nipped connectors uses a work table having connector holding tools and wiring/nipping tools in a predetermined pattern thereon and a robot with a hand which can be freely moved on the work table. The hand can selectively hold at least a connector holding head for loading connectors in the connector holding tools and a wiring/nipping head for performing wiring between the connectors to prepare a wire harness.
