  • Publication number: 20150173555
Abstract: A beverage extraction vessel includes: a cylindrical side wall; and a bottom wall that clogs a bottom portion of the side wall. The side wall has a plurality of slits smaller in area with increasing proximity to outside in a thickness direction.

  • Patent number: 4955227
Abstract: An apparatus for inspecting glass bottles generally comprises an operation table, an annular conveyor passage onto which glass bottles to be inspected are conveyed one-by-one and on which the bottles are moved slidably, and a turn table coaxially disposed inside the annular conveyor passage. A plurality of guide members are circumferentially mounted on the peripheral surface of the turn table, and a plurality of bottle inspecting stations are disposed circumferentially and spaced equally therearound. The inspecting stations include a down sealing surface measuring station for measuring the down sealing surface of the lip portion of each bottle, an outer diameter and perpendicularly measuring station for measuring outer diameters of the various portions of each bottle and an inner diameter measuring station for measuring the inner diameter of the lip opening. The bottles inspected or measured are conveyed out of the conveying passage and selectively divided into defective bottles and satisfactory bottles.

  • Patent number: 4850696
Abstract: A vacuum degree inspecting device wherein a high degree of accuracy is not required for positioning of an object vessel and the degree of vacuum of an object vessel can be detected with a high S/N ratio under a reduced influence of fluctuations in size or configuration of a top (lid) wall of an object vessel. The device comprises a great diameter lens for refracting rays of light from a light source into rays of light to be irradiated upon an area including a lid wall of a sealed up vessel held at a predetermined inspection position, a beam splitter for passing part of rays from the great diameter lens therethrough and for reflecting reflected rays from the lid wall of the sealed up vessel, a condenser lens for condensing reflected rays from the beam splitter, an image sensor for detecting the thus condensed rays, and a comparator circuit for comparing an output voltage of the image sensor with a reference voltage to develop a signal representing that the sealed up vessel is acceptable or to be rejected.

  • Patent number: 4730932
Abstract: In a transmissivity inspection apparatus, laser beam is radiated onto an object to be inspected. Irregularly reflected laser light components produced from the object are detected by a photoelectric converter element. The transmissivity of the object with respect to the laser beam is inspected by a discriminator, based on a specific pattern of the irregularly reflected laser light components detected by the photoelectric converter element. The specific pattern of a transparent substance differs from that of a nontransparent substance, thereby to discriminate the nontransparent substance from the transparent substance.

  • Patent number: 4718961
Abstract: In the fabrication of a plastic sleeve by heat sealing overlapped ends of a plastic film blank wrapped around a mandrel, a part of the underlying overlapped end is often melted inadvertently and adheres to the mandrel, obstructing easy stripping of the sleeve off the mandrel. Accordingly, a tensioning groove is formed in the mandrel surface, and a pressing-in bar is pressed thereinto over the sleeve while a part of the sleeve is held stationary against the mandrel by a holding plate to pull the sleeve part thus adhering sidewise in the peripheral direction of the mandrel and thereby to peel away and free the same.

  • Patent number: 4363649
Abstract: An impact rod is vertically guided within a guide cylinder to drop into a glass bottle to be tested which is held vertically below by a bottle gripper, the impact rod thereby striking the bottom of the bottle with preset impact force. A plurality of these guide cylinders with respective impact rods and corresponding bottle grippers are supported on structures revolving unitarily around a pole, the bottle grippers operating to grip successively bottles supplied from a production line and to carry the bottles around a partial circle as they are tested by the corresponding impact rods which are operated by adjustable cam action. The impact force is adjustably variable by adjusting the height of drop and/or weight of the impact rod.

  • Patent number: 4250798
Abstract: A plastic sleeve is fabricated by: winding a blank of plastic film around a hollow cylindrical mandrel having a groove of arcuate cross section extending in the mandrel axial direction along the mandrel outer surface and having numerous through holes through its wall including the concave surface of the groove, the blank ends being overlapped; applying a vacuum through the holes to the inner surface of the blank thereby to draw it by suction tightly against the mandrel outer surface; heat sealing the overlapped ends of the blank thereby to form a sleeve; and vitiating the vacuum and applying pressure above atmospheric to the inner surface of the sleeve thereby to facilitate the succeeding step of stripping the sleeve from the mandrel and fitting it on a glass bottle.
