  • Patent number: 5754642
Abstract: A telephone terminal has a plurality of handsets and at least one button to input a demand for starting an outgoing call or receiving an incoming call. The terminal includes a demand recognition unit for recognizing the input demand through the one button. The terminal also includes a search unit for searching for handsets in the idle status when the input demand has been recognized. The terminal further includes a select unit for selecting one of the searched handsets that are in the idle status as a selected handset. The terminal also includes a call connection unit for controlling a call connection of the operation corresponding to the input demand, when a handset in the idle status has been selected. The terminal still further includes a nullification unit for nullifying the input demand when no handset in the idle status has been selected.

  • Patent number: 5651061
Abstract: A telephone exchange system useful for a dealing speech system or the like is disclosed, which can accommodate large numbers of lines (or trunks) and permit improvement of the reliability and call connection processing capacity. The system comprises exchange sub-systems A (EX-A) and B (EX-B) capable of independently executing an exchange operation and each accommodating a terminal. The terminal has a speech channel switch for connecting a speech channel including a handset to either exchange sub-system A (EX-A) or B (EX-B). When the process of connecting a call is brought about in the terminal, it selects one of the exchange sub-systems and controls the speech channel switch for connecting the call to the selected exchange sub-system.

  • Patent number: 5471525
Abstract: In a telephone exchange system accommodating a large number of communication lines, a line status display system is provided, which permits display of the status of a large number of lines in a limited display space of the terminal for scale reduction, is capable of flexible use with satisfactory operation control property and will not reduce the processing capacity of the exchange equipment. In a telephone exchange system comprising an exchange equipment (1) and a plurality of terminals (2, 2') accommodated therein, the exchange equipment (1) accommodating a plurality of lines, when detecting a line status change, sends out corresponding information to all the terminals (2, 2'), and the terminals check whether the line is a subject of processing, and if so, displays pertinent information in a predetermined display position.

  • Patent number: 5404398
Abstract: A telephone exchange system useful for a bank or brokerage house speech system or the like, which can accommodate a large number of lines (or trunks) and permit improvement of the reliability and call connection processing capacity. The system comprises exchange sub-systems A (EX-A) and B (EX-B) capable of independently executing an exchange operation and each accommodating a terminal. The terminal, on the other hand, has a speech channel switch for connecting a speech channel including a handset to either exchange sub-system A (EX-A) or B (EX-B). When a process of connecting a call is brought about in the terminal, that terminal selects one of the exchange subsystems and controls the speech channel switch for connecting the call to the selected exchange sub-system.
