  • Patent number: 7895749
Abstract: A heat exchange tube is formed by using a sheet member not clad with a brazing material layer, with bonding regions at which ends of the sheet member are overlapped and brazed by using a brazing material. This structure reduces the extent to which the brazing material becomes dispersed while the heat exchange tube is brazed and the likelihood of dissolution due to erosion, which makes it possible to assure the desired product quality, such as corrosion resistance, even when a tube material with a smaller wall thickness is used.

  • Patent number: 7156165
Abstract: In tubular portion of a tank, slits are formed in each side face of chambers or across all side faces of the chambers. For partition plates that are to be inserted from the slits, groove portions in which the partition plates are fitted are formed by cutting portions to which the partition plates butt. The slits are formed in the chambers at positions relatively shifted from each other in a direction in which tubes are layered. This structure guarantees that, in the tank for a heat exchanger, bypass leakage of a heat exchange medium between sub-chambers is prevented from occurring when the partition plates are inserted in the tank from the slits provided on the tank side faces. Further, the tank can maintain required strength even if the slits are formed in it.

  • Publication number: 20060219398
Abstract: A heat exchange tube 4 is formed by using a sheet member not clad with a brazing material layer, with bonding margins 4d at which ends of the sheet member are overlapped and brazed by using a brazing material. This structure reduces the extent to which the brazing material becomes dispersed while the heat exchange tube is brazed and the likelihood of dissolution due to erosion, which makes it possible to assure the desired product quality such as corrosion resistance even when a tube material with a smaller wall thickness is used.

  • Publication number: 20060011335
Abstract: A die arm 34 and a punch 35 to be used to punch a hole are inserted into chambers 21 and 22 lying parallel to each other along the direction of ventilation through openings located on one side of the chambers along the lengthwise direction. A partition portion 20 has a small wall thickness T1 relative to the wall thicknesses of partition portions in the related art, in a range of equal to or greater than 0.4 mm and equal to or less than 1.65 mm, so as to ensure that the punch unit achieves a high enough level of fatigue resistance to assure a specific number of uses without a failure even though the fulcrum and the power point of the die arm 34 and the punch 35 are not on a single axis along the operating direction and also that the partition portion 20 with the smaller wall thickness still has sufficient strength to prevent deformation.

  • Patent number: 6626007
Abstract: In order to ensure that a braising material applied onto the surface of a header pipe does not enter communicating passages for coolant intake/outlet at a connecting block during the furnace braising process implemented to weld the connecting block utilized to connect a liquid tank to the header pipe, pipe-like projections are formed at the pair of communicating passages for coolant intake/outlet formed at the connecting block for liquid tank connection on the side where the header pipe is connected and the pipe-like projections inserted at holes of the header pipe clad with a braising material are welded to a condenser to constitute an integrated part thereof.

  • Patent number: 5605191
Abstract: An end plate of a tank whose inside is partitioned by a partition has a plurality of insertion holes receiving connecting portions of tube elements. In the end plate, a first projection is distended and formed so as to run through narrow middle portions of the insertion holes, and a fit groove for the partition is formed on the inside of the first projection. Even when a core of the heat exchanger is put sideways on a furnace in a heat brazing method, brazing filler material can easily flow into the gaps between the insertion holes and the tube elements inserted into the insertion holes. As a result, good brazing can be performed.

  • Patent number: 5177607
Abstract: In a method for measuring the velocity of a fluid visualized by the injection of tracer particles, the particle pathline images are imaged by the use of an interlaced scanning type television camera and logical products between pairs of field pictorial image data derived form a frame pictorial image of the output from the television camera is calculated. The correspondence among the particle pathline images of the field pictorial image data is determined on the basis of the logical products. The pairs of field pictorial image data can be obtained from a set of image pickup apparatuses whose exposure time periods are controlled so as to overlap partially.
