  • Publication number: 20120150138
Abstract: Provided are mesh underpants and a method of putting on same, whereby soiling due to nighttime leakage is inhibited even if the wearer is unused to wearing an absorbent pad. The provided mesh underpants have a waist opening and a pair of leg openings and can be attached to the outside surface of a roughly-rectangular absorbent pad. When worn outside a disposable diaper that is worn so as to cover the outside surface of the absorbent pad, the provided mesh underpants can cover roughly the entire length of the disposable diaper.

  • Patent number: 6616646
Abstract: There is disclosed an absorbent article including: a surface structure having a liquid-permeable surface sheet located on a liquid-receiving side; a back sheet; and an absorbent core sandwiched between the surface structure and the back sheet. In an area including at least a centerline extending in a longitudinal direction of the absorbent article, the surface sheet is corrugated to form recesses and ridges extending in the longitudinal direction and alternating with each other in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The ridges are given an elastically shrinking function in the longitudinal direction at least at their crests or vicinities thereof so that the surface structure is formed into a curved shape. The surface structure thus curved can fit the shape of a crotch. Therefore, the liquid is hard to flow in the transverse direction to prevent the leakage.

  • Patent number: 6547774
Abstract: An absorbent disposable undergarment includes an outer garment, such as pants, in combination with a detachable absorbent pad attached inside thereof. First suspending flaps hang down from an inner side of a stretchable waist-opening peripheral edge of the pants toward a crotch section of the pants. The first suspending flaps are provided with first fastener elements that are disposed remote from the waist opening of the pants. Second suspending flaps extend upwardly from longitudinally opposite ends of the absorbent pad. The second suspending flaps are provided with second fastener elements, that are adapted to mate with the first fastener elements, and are disposed remote from the core of the pad. • Patent number: 6423046
Abstract: An absorbent article including a laminated piece including a liquid-permeable top sheet, a back sheet and an absorbent core interposed between the top sheet and the back sheet. The region where the absorbent core is present includes a center region extending along a lengthwise direction of the absorbent article and side regions adjacent to the center region in a crosswise direction perpendicular to the lengthwise direction. The bending resistance (stiffness) of the laminated piece in the center region is higher than the bending resistance of the laminated piece in the side regions. The absorbent article can be attached in a stably fitting manner with no ready emergence of twisting or tucked-down wrinkles, when the absorbent article is overlaid on the inner face of an outer wear material.

  • Patent number: 6336923
Abstract: A disposable diaper has front and a rear bodies permanently welded together at a crotch zone along a welding line convexly curved upward. Fasteners are formed along side edges of one of the front and rear bodies to enable the bodies to be releasably attached together to form the basic structure of the diaper. An auxiliary liquid absorbent panel is permanently attached to float above the convexly curved welding line of the crotch zone for greater absorbency.
