    Abstract: A method and apparatus for effecting photometry in an automatic exposure camera includes the provision of photometric means which determines the brightness of an image field. Upon depression of an operating button, photometry is successively made of the brightness of an object being photographed, utilizing the photometric means, and corresponding photometric values are derived. Each successive value generated replaces the value previously generated. The last value generated is stored for subsequent use upon release of the operating button.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for effecting photometry from plural points of an automatic exposure camera includes the provision of photometric means which determines the brightness of a relatively limited region of an image field. Photometry is successively made of the brightness of an object being photographed at a number of desired points thereon, utilizing the photometric means, and corresponding photometric values are derived. An average of these values is taken, and transmitted to exposure control means, thus effecting an exposure control in accordance with the average.

    Abstract: A tortion coil spring is charged with a driving force for rotation in response to a film winding operation. When a start position regulating member is released from the shutter driving member, the shutter driving member is rotated by the driving force, till it runs against a shutter speed determining member. During said rotation, a connecting mechanism connected to the shutter driving member to be forward and backward reciprocated by the rotation of the shutter driving member makes a forward motion. Two shutter sectors connected to the connecting mechanism are moved by the forward motion to increase the area of an aperture as an exposure hole for a pencil of rays at the fixed rate by the function of a speed control mechanism.     Abstract: A photographic camera of an automatic exposure control type has an electrical shutter of electromagnetic release type and also has a front cover slidably disposed across the front surface of a camera body between a first position in which it closes a taking lens and a second position in which it exposes the taking lens. The camera comprises a first, a second and a third switch which are mechanically associated with the front cover, a rear lid of camera and a film winding mechanism of camera, respectively. The second switch may be replaced by a switch which is mechanically associated with a film frame counter. These switches are connected in an electrical shutter circuit in a manner such that a shutter release operation is disabled in the first position of the front cover, but is enabled in the first position of the front cover whenever the rear lid is opened, thus enabling a film loading operation.
