Patent number: 10014149Abstract: In an X-ray radiation source, a counter wall made of alkali-containing glass, out of walls of a housing of an X-ray tube, is sandwiched between a filament and an electric field control electrode to each of which a negative high voltage is applied. This configuration prevents an electric field from being generated in the counter wall and thus suppresses precipitation of alkali ions from the glass. Therefore, it prevents change in potential relationship between electrodes at different potentials such as the filament, grid, and target and enables stable operation to be maintained, without occurrence of a trouble of failure in maintaining a desired X-ray amount.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2013Date of Patent: July 3, 2018Assignees: FUTABA CORPORATION, HAMAMATSU PHOTONICS K.K.Inventors: Tatsuya Nakamura, Norimasa Kosugi, Naoki Okumura, Yoshitaka Sato, Akira Matsumoto, Yoshihisa Marushima, Kazuhito Nakamura

Patent number: 9648712Abstract: In an X-ray radiation source, a counter wall made of alkali-containing glass, out of walls of a housing of an X-ray tube, is arranged opposite to a high-voltage region VH of a power supply unit including a high-voltage generation module which generates a negative high voltage to be applied to a filament. This configuration prevents an electric field from being generated in the counter wall and thus suppresses precipitation of alkali ions from the glass. Therefore, it prevents change in potential relationship between electrodes at different potentials such as the filament, grid, and target and prevents occurrence of a trouble of failure in maintaining a desired X-ray amount, thus enabling stable operation to be maintained.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2013Date of Patent: May 9, 2017Assignees: Futaba Corporation, HAMAMATSU PHOTONICS K.K.Inventors: Tatsuya Nakamura, Norimasa Kosugi, Naoki Okumura, Yoshitaka Sato, Akira Matsumoto, Yoshihisa Marushima, Kazuhito Nakamura

Patent number: 9263227Abstract: An X-ray tube includes a radiopaque substrate including a window portion, an X-ray transmission window closing the window portion, an X-ray target provided at the window portion from an inner surface side of the substrate, a highly-evacuated container portion attached to the inner surface of the substrate, a cathode, a first control electrode and a second control electrode provided inside the container portion. A shielding electrode is provided at the inner surface of the substrate so as to surround the window portion. Electrons collide with the X-ray target to generate X-rays. Electrons reflected on the X-ray target between the shielding electrodes are absorbed by the shielding electrodes, so an inner surface of the container portion is not charged. The electron emission from the cathode is not affected by the reflected electrons, so a change in target current is small, and thus X-rays of substantially constant intensity can be radiated.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2013Date of Patent: February 16, 2016Assignee: FUTABA CORPORATIONInventors: Akira Matsumoto, Kiyoyuki Deguchi, Yoshihisa Marushima, Yuuichi Kogure, Kazuhito Nakamura, Tomoyuki Okada, Toru Fujita, Tatsuya Nakamura

Patent number: 9008276Abstract: An X-ray tube is disclosed. The X-ray tube includes a substrate, a box-shaped case attached to the substrate and being in a high-vacuum state, an X-ray target arranged in the opening of the first substrate in the inside of the case, and a cathode arranged in the case and supplying an electron to the X-ray target. The substrate includes first and second substrates made of 426 alloy and respectively having an opening of honeycomb structure, and an X-ray transmissive window sandwiched between the first and second substrates which is made of a titanium foil and close the opening. The X-ray transmissive window is reinforced by a honeycomb structure of the substrate from both surfaces. Thus, the substrate and the X-ray transmissive window are not deformed, and strength of the package is improved.Type: GrantFiled: March 1, 2013Date of Patent: April 14, 2015Assignee: Futaba CorporationInventors: Akira Matsumoto, Yoshihisa Marushima, Yuuichi Kogure, Kazuhito Nakamura
