    Abstract: A rolled-print-medium holder device includes an axial member, a holding member, an outer fitting portion, an inner fitting portion, and a weld portion. The holding member is fixed to at least one of both axial ends of the axial member and holds both sides of a rolled print medium. The outer fitting portion is provided at either one of the axial member and the holding member. The outer fitting portion has an inner peripheral surface. The inner fitting portion is provided at the other one of the axial member and the holding member. The inner fitting portion has an outer peripheral surface. The inner fitting portion is fitted into the outer fitting portion. The weld portion is provided at at least one of the inner fitting portion and the outer fitting portion. The weld portion at least fixes the outer peripheral surface to the inner peripheral surface by ultrasonic welding.

    Abstract: A tape unit has a support including a rotation support section rotatably supporting a tape spool and facing a roll part of a print tape, and a junction section extending from the rotation support section. A guide groove for guiding the print tape pulled out from the roll part is formed on the junction section. By virtue of such composition, the tape unit can be attached to a cassette case body of a tape cassette maintaining the print tape in the guide groove, by which the replacement of the tape unit which is stored in the cassette case body can be made easier.

Meanwhile, a cassette case body (32) and a cassette cover (33) of the tape cassette (5) are provided with a tape detection part (50a, 50b) to which the tape identification section (30) can be set or attached, while being provided with a projection (52) as a tape width detection part to be paired with the vertical through hole (61) so that only a tape unit (20) including a rolled print tape having a preset tape width is allowed to be attached to the tape cassette (5).
