  • Patent number: 8899849
Abstract: A camera apparatus includes: a cover that has transparency; a rotatable camera unit that is provided inside the cover; a shade plate portion that includes a shade plate capable of partially shading light incident on the camera unit, wherein a position of the shade plate is rotatable; a control unit that is configured to control rotation of the camera unit and the position of the shade plate; and a memory that stores posture information including an imaging direction of the camera unit and positional information on the shade plate in association with each other. The control unit controls a direction of the camera unit based on the posture information stored in the memory and controls the position of the shade plate based on the positional information on the shade plate stored in the memory.

  • Publication number: 20140240494
Abstract: A camera apparatus includes a rotatable camera unit; a filter unit which is configured to selectively take at least one of a covering state and a standby state, wherein the covering state covers a light incident portion of the camera unit with a filter and the standby state removes the filter from the light incident portion; a controller which is configured to control a rotation of the camera unit and a state of the filter unit; and a memory which stores posture information including a direction of the camera unit and filter information representing at least one of the covering state and the standby state of the filter unit. The controller controls the direction of the camera unit based on the posture information stored in the memory and controls the filter unit based on the filter information stored in the memory.

  • Patent number: 8538254
Abstract: A camera unit (1) of a camera device includes: a lens unit (2) having a size according to zoom magnification; a tilt chassis (3) that rotatably supports the lens unit (2) in a tilt direction; and a pan chassis (4) that rotatably supports the lens unit (2) in a pan direction through the tilt chassis (3). The tilt chassis (3) has a plurality of attaching positions to the pan chassis (4). Additionally, the tilt chassis (3) is attached to the pan chassis (4) at an attaching position of the plurality of attaching positions according to the size of the lens unit (2). As a result of this, cost, time, and labor required for development of the chassis can be reduced, and development efficiency of the chassis is improved.

  • Patent number: 8467000
Abstract: A camera device includes an image sensor which is assembled into a case, a first perspective-control component including a convex partial spherical surface for performing perspective control, and a second perspective-control component including a concave partial spherical surface having a radius of curvature and a center of curvature which are equal to those of the convex partial spherical surface. Before completion of the assembly of the image sensor into the case, the second perspective-control component is mounted on the first perspective-control component attached to a back side of the image sensor, and perspective control is performed with the convex partial spherical surface and the concave partial spherical surface in surface contact with each other. The first perspective-control component and the second perspective-control component are secured to each other via an adhesive after completion of the perspective control.
