A trigger roller pin and the solenoid lever become disengaged from each other, an eccentric pin and a trigger lever are rotated by the urging force from a latch leading end become disengaged from each other, whereby a latch lever is rotated by the released energy of a cutoff spring.

    Abstract: A switchgear and an operating mechanism thereof which stably maintain a spring force by a shutoff spring, and reduce an opening time. The operating mechanism includes a main lever that rotates upon receiving the spring force by a shutoff spring released in a transition to a shutoff condition to move a movable contact apart from an opposing contact, and the main lever is linked with a sub lever fixed to a sub shaft rotatable around its shaft. The sub shaft is fixed with a latch lever with a roller attached to the tip thereof. The latch lever is prevented from rotating by a latch present on a movement trajectory of the roller. A weight is pushed against the latch in a separable manner, and the weight is pushed by an actuator to allow the latch to rotate, thereby being retracted from the movement trajectory of the roller.

In the closed state, the roller pin presses the leading end of the latch. In power cutoff operation, latch is pulled so as to permit rotation of the latch, engagement between the roller pin and the leading end of the latch is disengaged, and the sub-shaft is rotated by urging by the cutoff spring.

In a state where the switchgear operating state is shifted from the closed state to the cutoff state, the solenoid lever is pushed by an electromagnetic solenoid for cutoff so as to be rotated in an opposite direction to the biasing direction of the solenoid lever return spring, and the latch lever is rotated by a biasing force of the roller pin to release an engagement between the roller pin and the leading end of the latch, which causes a cutoff spring to discharge its energy to rotate the latch lever.
