  • Patent number: 10288097
Abstract: A fiber-reinforced resin member is provided in which a non-conductive sleeve and first and second non-conductive sheets are disposed between a metal fastening member and CFRP laminate, electrical continuity between the metal fastening member and the CFRP laminate is cut off, and corrosion of the metal fastening member due to galvanic corrosion is prevented. A first annular space is formed between a first flange portion of a first member and the first non-conductive sheet, a second annular space is formed between a second flange portion of a second member and the second non-conductive sheet. Therefore, even if frayed carbon fiber sticks out from a gap between the non-conductive sleeve and the first and second non-conductive sheets, due to the first and second annular spaces being formed therein, it is possible to prevent the sticking-out carbon fiber from contacting the first and second members and providing electrical continuity.

  • Patent number: 9211913
Abstract: A structure for front side frames of automobile is provided in which since, among first and second bent parts to the rear of a power unit mounting part of the front side frame formed from a tubular hollow member having a constant cross-section, a first weak part is provided in the vicinity of the rear-side second bent part, and a second weak part is provided in the vicinity of a third bent part, which is bent convexly outward in the vehicle width direction in the power unit mounting part, when an automobile is involved in a frontal collision, it becomes possible for the front side frame formed from the tubular hollow member and having high strength to bend via the first weak part and also via the second weak part, thereby enabling the impact absorption stroke to be increased and the effect in absorbing collision energy to be enhanced.

  • Patent number: 9108680
Abstract: A first and second pipe materials forming a front side frame are arranged in an up-and-down direction in a first horizontal portion, in a left-and-right direction in a second horizontal portion, and replaced from the up-and-down direction to the left-and-right direction in an inclined portion between the first horizontal portion and the second horizontal portion, and at least in the first horizontal portion and the second horizontal portion, the first and second pipe materials are welded to each other by welds, and therefore, it becomes possible to change in the longitudinal direction the cross-sectional shape or bending stiffness of the front side frame formed by joining the first and second pipe materials without changing the cross-sectional shapes thereof in the longitudinal direction, thus providing the front side frame that has a light weight but has excellent impact absorption performance at the time of a collision.

  • Patent number: 8882184
Abstract: A structure for a front portion of an automobile body includes a bulkhead side, which is joined to a front portion of a front side frame extending in the fore-and-aft direction extends in the vertical direction, and a side frame gusset, which provides a connection between the front portions of the front side frame and a wheel house upper member. The bulkhead side and the side frame gusset are joined by a linking panel having a right-angled triangle shape when viewed from the front within a plane perpendicular to an axis in the fore-and-aft direction. When a load is applied for relatively moving the front side frame, the side frame gusset and the wheel house upper member supporting the load by a shear force of the linking panel disposed within the plane enhance the rigidity of a front portion of a vehicle body and minimize any increase in weight.

  • Patent number: 6342795
Abstract: Disclosed is a control circuit of a simplified circuit configuration and control while power consumed by the continuous supply of a clock signal to a functional block which is in an inoperative status is reduced. A functional block supplies a status detection signal indicative of an operative status or an inoperative status to a clock control unit. When the status detection signal indicates the operative status, the clock control unit supplies a clock signal to thereby operate the functional block. When the status detection signal indicates the inoperative status, the clock control unit stops the supply of the clock signal to thereby stop the functional block.
