  • Publication number: 20110310362
Abstract: An illumination device includes: an excitation light source that emits excitation light having a first wavelength; a fluorescent substance that, when irradiated with the excitation light, emits light having a second wavelength longer than the first wavelength and transmits a part of the excitation light, and thereby multiplexes and emits the transmitted excitation light having the first wavelength and the emitted excitation light having the second wavelength; and a driving unit that moves an irradiation position of the excitation light in the fluorescent substance with the passage of time.

  • Patent number: 7760001
Abstract: The real number counter subtracts the positive integer C if the count value RC is equal to or larger than 0, or adds (the positive integer B-C) and outputs a Carry if the count value RC is negative. The first integer counter for generating the first clock f1 calculates (the count value IC1+the Carry+the positive integer A). The second integer counter 150 for generating the second clock f2 (f2=f1*G) calculates (the count value IC2+the Carry+the positive integer A+the offset value) at each input clock. The correction circuit outputs the offset value so that the second integer counter counts “the maximum count value*(f2/f1?1)*D” times more than the first integer counter with respect to each cycle D having a synchronization cycle length of the first clock f1 and the second clock f2.

  • Patent number: 6987541
Abstract: A video signal processing circuit. includes: a bell table, a first switch, a carrier generating unit, a second switch and a calculation processing unit. The bell table inputs a color difference signal to output a modulation signal having an amplitude defined by the SECAM Standard of the color difference signal. The first switch selects one of the color difference signal and the modulation signal to output a first signal. The carrier generating unit inputs the color difference signal to generate a carrier signal having a frequency defined by the SECAM Standard of the color difference signal. The second switch selects one of the carrier signal and a carrier signal having frequency defined by the PAL Standard and/or the NTSC Standard to output a second signal. The calculation processing unit calculates the first and second signals to output a color difference modulation signal.

  • Patent number: 6008866
Abstract: The invention provides an edge detection circuit and a motion processing circuit which can prevent, upon motion detection between frames, erroneous detection at an edge portion, particularly a moving edge portion. A first edge detection section detects an edge of a pattern of an image provided by a first one of frames of a video signal and forwards a first edge detection signal. A second edge detection section detects the edge of the pattern of an image provided by a second one of the frames of the video signal at a time different from that of the first frame and forwards a second edge detection signal. An edge motion discrimination section receives the first and second edge detection signals and discriminates presence of absence of motion of the edge between the first and second frames based on the first and second edge detection signals. Consequently, any edge portion which exhibits motion between frames can be detected correctly.

  • Patent number: 5949900
Abstract: In a fine pattern inspection device for inspecting a fine pattern comprising a plurality of pattern elements which have the same form and which are formed on an inspection sample, the device detects a defect in the plurality of pattern elements by the use of an image derived from the fine pattern. An image obtaining unit obtains the image from the fine pattern and produces an image signal representing the image. The image signal is divided into first and second divided image signals. A processing unit extracts a defect image and an inverted defect image that is inverted in lightness of the defect image, by carrying out a first process that gives a predetermined delay to the first divided image signal and then inverts the lightness thereof to obtain a processed image signal and carrying out a second process that adds the processed image signal and the second divided image signal to obtain a difference image signal representing a difference image which includes the defect image and the inverted defect image.

  • Patent number: 4737868
Abstract: A repositioner for a streaming magnetic tape drive apparatus includes control circuitry which, when a repositioning instruction is received from an external device, supplies a drive stop instruction to a tape reel motor and a measurement start instruction to a tape travel distance measuring device when a first data block edge detection signal is reproduced from the tape within a certain time period. A tape stop detection signal is produced when forward movement of the tape ceases, and the control circuitry outputs a reverse drive instruction to the reel motor while supplying a reverse tape travel distance measurement start instruction to the distance measuring device. When the forward and reverse tape travel distances become equal and a data block edge detection signal is reproduced from the tape within a certain time period, a normal operation signal is provided to the external device to signal that a repositioning operation is normally performed.

  • Patent number: 4726542
Abstract: A reel position-detecting device for use in a magnetic tape drive unit, designed to determine whether or not a supply reel has been positioned upside down in a retainer. When reel-detecting means detects that the supply reel has been set in the retainer, the retainer is rotated in the opposite direction to the tape-supply direction. If tape supply-detecting means detects the magnetic tape and then ceases to detect the tape within a predetermined period, processing means determines that the supply reel has been correctly positioned. Otherwise, the processing means determines that the supply reel has been positioned upside down.
