Patent number: 6962723Abstract: The present invention provides a process for extracting minerals from mineral-rich oysters and furthermore provides an oyster extract containing the minerals, and taurine, glycogen, and nucleotides. First, raw oysters are subjected to hot water extraction to obtain soluble ingredients and to remove unwanted components, and then the residue is extracted with an acid solution of pH 2 to 4. The extract is neutralized with an alkali to obtain a precipitate having a high content of minerals such as zinc. The oyster extract obtained by this process contains zinc in the amount of 6% to 13% by dry weight.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2001Date of Patent: November 8, 2005Assignee: Japan Clinic Co., Ltd.Inventors: Satoshi Tafu, Yoshikazu Matsuda

Patent number: 4482311Abstract: An oxygen shortage sensor is placed in a space defined above a burner unit exposed to the atmosphere. When an oxygen shortage condition is detected by the oxygen shortage sensor, an alarm is raised from an alarm unit or combustion of the burner unit is stopped by a combustion stopper. In such an apparatus, in order to secure a stable oxygen shortage detection by the oxygen shortage sensor, the oxygen shortage sensor is located in a space above the burner unit and in a casing having an opening formed on the side of the burner unit.Type: GrantFiled: October 15, 1982Date of Patent: November 13, 1984Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Chuzoh Wada, Yoshikazu Matsuda

Patent number: 4451228Abstract: A burner of wick type is disclosed which secures user safety by stopping combustion through an oxygen depletion protection function in the event of an oxygen depletion. When tar is accumulated in the wick, the wick is burnt to clean the tar with the liquid fuel supply cut off, thus burning out the liquid fuel contained in the wick. In the process, the combustion temporarily becomes unstable and a great amount of carbon monoxide is generated, resulting in a state similar to oxygen depletion. In a burner with an oxygen depletion protection function, the combustion is stopped during the wick cleaning, with the result that most of the tar accumulated in the wick remains unburnt, adversely affecting both the fuel absorption characteristic and service life of the wick. This invention is such that the oxygen depletion protection function is not operated during the wick cleaning.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1982Date of Patent: May 29, 1984Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.Inventors: Chuzoh Wada, Yoshikazu Matsuda, Yoshio Asano
