Patent number: 9713991Abstract: A wire harness is routed from a luggage compartment of an automobile along a hinge arm and toward a luggage door. An extra wire length accommodation case is positioned between the hinge arm and a vehicle body panel of the luggage compartment in a vertical direction which is an operation direction of the hinge arm. The extra wire length accommodation case has a shape that includes an arced wire entrance having a wire harness outlet linked with an arced portion of the hinge arm, and an extra wire length bypass continuous with the arced wire entrance. The wire harness is passed into the extra wire length bypass of the extra wire length accommodation case, then is drawn out through the outlet of the arced wire entrance and routed along the arced portion of the hinge arm toward the luggage door.Type: GrantFiled: November 4, 2014Date of Patent: July 25, 2017Assignee: SUMITOMO WIRING SYSTEMS, LTD.Inventors: Shinji Katou, Yoshikazu Sakakibara

Patent number: 9573536Abstract: A branch wire branching from a trunk wire of a floor harness routed to an automobile is used as a wire harness supplying power to the sliding seat. The wire harness is inserted within an extra length accommodation case, and in addition, the extra length accommodation case is fixated, facing downward, to a seat rail to which the sliding seat is slidably mounted, and is accommodated in a space below the seat rail. The wire harness U-turned within the extra length accommodation case is passed through the slider and extracted to a sliding seat side and connected to the seat harness within the sliding seat. A bottom portion of the slider is slidably mounted to a straight line direction slider sliding groove provided on a top end of the extra length accommodation case and a top portion of the slider is fixated to the sliding seat.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2014Date of Patent: February 21, 2017Assignee: SUMITOMO WIRING SYSTEMS, LTD.Inventors: Shinji Katou, Tsutomu Ootani, Yoshikazu Sakakibara, Satoshi Ujita

Publication number: 20160280157Abstract: A caterpillar-shaped outer cover material for a wire harness is improved. An outer cover material for a wire harness that is made of an injection molded article and is caterpillar-shaped includes coupling plates that are provided along two edges of a band-shaped central plate in a width direction so as to protrude in parallel to each other. One of the coupling plate has locking claws that are provided at intervals in a length direction protruding from an end of that coupling plate, the other of the coupling plates has locked frames to which the locking claws are respectively locked and coupled, and that protrude from an end of that coupling plate, and the central plate has folding lines constituted by two grooves that extend in the length direction at a distance in the width direction, and has slits extending in the width direction that are provided at intervals in the length direction.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2014Publication date: September 29, 2016Inventors: Shinji KATOU, Yoshikazu SAKAKIBARA
