    Abstract: An apparatus for low-temperature plasma treatment of a sheet material, comprising a plurality of reaction zones through which the sheet material is transported in an enclosed reaction chamber whose inner pressure can be reduced, in which the reaction zones are provided respectively with an electrode communicating to a high frequency generating device and a plurality of jet nozzles for supplying a gas thereto for generating low-temperature plasma gas, and the reaction chamber and the reaction zones are earthed. Another apparatus for the same purpose is to provide a liquid medium passage passing through the guide rolls for transporting a sheet material to be treated and through the electrodes under reduced pressure for heating or cooling the sheet material under treatment to a prescribed temperature.

    Abstract: For the treatment of waste water in the liquid treatment of a textile material, air bubbles are generated in water containing floating impurities stored tentatively in a waste water tank so as to adhere the impurities on the surface of the air bubbles, adhering the impurities together with air bubbles on the surface of a filter comprising a mesh belt or a mesh drum by pulling up the filter successively, and removing the impurities from the filter thus pulled up due to the effect of vacuum suction, and an apparatus therefor. The impurities remaining still on the surface of the filter may further be removed therefrom by washing the filter with the aid of water and air jets.

    Abstract: A wet heat treating apparatus of a long cloth for performing dyeing and washing in combination comprising a wet heat treating chamber provided with a cloth inlet and a cloth outlet at the bottom thereof, a ceiling with an acute-angled shape, liquid supply means for supplying a high pressure hot liquid to the cloth in the interior of the chamber, a pair of right and left guide roll groups arranged in up and down directions, a group of intermediate guide rolls positioned nearly at the middle of the right and left guide rolls, a transfer mechanism for moving the intermediate guide rolls to the direction of the right and left guide roll groups, and a doorway for an operator to go into and out of the chamber when cleaning the guide rolls. The cleaning of the guide rolls in the wet heat treating chamber can easily and surely be done, and therefore the dyeing and washing of a cloth can be done in combination with the use of a single apparatus satisfactorily.

    Abstract: A method for setting and pretreating a cloth by a continuous process which comprises supplying a long cloth soaked with a treating solution continuously into a steamer body by piling up several sheets one on top of the other, separating these sheets, and then steaming each cloth while applying a high temperature treating solution thereto and widening the sheets for setting the cloth. Then the cloth is steamed by piling up the sheets once again during application of the high temperature treating solution still further thereto for pretreatment of the cloth. Then with the use of washing water, the cloth is washed and then finally taken out of the steamer body. A long cloth can effectively and economically be set and pretreated while sparing heat energy and water resource.

    Abstract: A high pressure steamer for continuous wet-heat treatment of a cloth has an inlet and an outlet for taking a cloth continuously in and out of the steamer body. The cloth inlet has an inlet side seal mechanism provided with a liquid seal tank and the cloth outlet has an outlet side seal mechanism provided with a slow cooling tank. A plurality of liquid application tanks and prewashing tanks are provided in the steamer for boiling the cloth passing through the steamer intermittently and repeatedly. A filter is provided for cleansing waste water exhausted from the slow cooling tank. A heat exchanger is provided for heating cleansed water by the use of high temperature waste liquor from the prewashing tank, and conduits supply the heated water to the liquid application tanks and prewashing tanks.

C., and wet-heat treating the cloth therein while maintaining the total water content of the cloth to not less than 170% by applying hot water repeatedly to the cloth by using liquid apply means provided in the steamer body.
