The central unit 1 includes a time switch 17 for executing exchange service and a control unit 19 for controlling the time switch 17. Each interface unit 27.sub.1 to 27.sub.n is connected to the time switch 17for communication of communication-data and connected to the control unit 19 for communication of control-data. Each interface unit 27.sub.1 to 27.sub.n enables and disables communication of communication-data between each data terminal 5.sub.1 to 5.sub.n and the time switch 17 in response to predetermined control commands received from each data terminal unit 5.sub.1 to 5.sub.n.

  • Patent number: 5136388
Abstract: A method of evaluating the characteristics of a solid state image sensor measures the unit cell output values of the sensor and assigns the output values to a predetermined rank, and counts the number of unit cells cumulatively in each rank, and then, by regarding the frequency distribution profile of the unit cell output values obtained in such way as the intrinsic electrical characteristics of the sensor, judges the picture quality of the sensor by using this frequency distribution profile.

  • Patent number: 4977420
Abstract: This invention relates to a camera with development function used in microscophic photography, in which a cover is disposed at the opening of a compartment case for containing developed films, and the opening is closed by this cover after containing developed films, and then the compartment case is dismounted from the camera main body. Thus, paper fibers and chemical particles used in the films will not drift in the air. Therefore, when used in a clean room, the room air will not be contaminated. Furthermore, the camera of this invention possesses various features suited for use in the clean room, such as the transparent compartment case so that the exposure and focus precision can be checked from outside the compartment case, and conductive treatment of the compartment case so as to prevent attraction of dust.

  • Patent number: 4899297
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for testing a number of functions of a temperature measuring device, a temperature measuring portion is subjected to a predetermined temperature, and information outputted by the device is read optically or acoustically. The application of various temperatures and the reading of the outputted information are controlled sequentially in dependence upon the types of functions to be tested, and the read information is compared with predetermined information to determine whether each function passes or fails the test. A thermal equilibrium temperature measurement function of the device is tested by heating the temperature measuring portion to thermal equilibrium. Power is then reintroduced to the device and the initial display of the device is tested to determine if all segments of the display light.

  • Patent number: 4887264
Abstract: In a digital key telephone system through which extension-to-extension calls can be made and incoming calls can be transferred between a master main installation and plural slave main installations, the master and slave main installations are interconnected through digital interface units provided for each installation in order to transmit and receive speech data and control data in digital code between the installations. The digital interface unit of the master main installation first designates an address of the slave main installation to which data are to be transmitted before data transmission, while the digital interface unit of the slave main installation receives data transmitted from the master main installation after address designation. Further, the addresses of the slave main installations can be designated together or separately.

  • Patent number: 4726417
Abstract: A compound roll for rolling composed of a shell made of adamite having a carbon content of 1.4-2.5 weight % and a core made of forged or cast steel, the shell being metallurgically bonded to the core by casting an adamite melt around the already prepared core, and the shell having a large residual compressive stress. The adamite shell has a composition consisting essentially, by weight, of 1.4-2.5% of C, 0.6-0.8% of Si, 0.8-1.0% of Mn, 0.5-2.5% of Ni, 1.0-4.0% of Cr, 0.2-2.0% of Mo and the balance being essentially Fe. The residual compressive stress of the shell is desirably at least 20 kg/mm.sup.2 so that cracks are effectively prevented from penetrating into the depths of the shell, thereby preventing the breakage of the compound roll at a roll body thereof.

  • Patent number: 4650932
Abstract: In a key telephone system, when it is impossible to set at a time the entire operation data stored in a memory device of a key station unit by using a key of a specific key telephone set among a plurality of key telephone sets connected to the key station unit, the entire data of respective operation items are divided into a plurality of data sets and then the setting of the data of respective data sets are independently set. The division of the data of respective operation items is made corresponding to the output state of a hook switch, for example.

  • Patent number: 4605825
Abstract: In a key telephone system, function assignments are made for assignable-function keys by assigning to each key telephone set one of a number of previously-stored patterns of function assignments. Patterns are stored in a memory of the main unit of the key telephone system. Assignment of functions is thereby done more easily, and efficiency of office line use may be improved.

  • Patent number: 4567326
Abstract: A telephone apparatus having the standard ten digit keys and two special keys, and in the handset the conventional switchhook. By manual operation of the two special keys and the switchhook the apparatus can be operated in any one of a plurality of modes, at least some causing transmission of stored sequences of digits in response to entry of an abbreviated address or in causing redialing. In one mode data signals are produced and transmitted in response to not only the digit keys but also the special keys as well. A controller operates the apparatus and is connected to a dial sender which converts the data signals into a multi-frequency signal which is transmitted by a telephone network to a repeater station.

  • Patent number: 4559417
Abstract: A method of setting operating data is provided wherein a display, at a predetermined key telephone set, indicates the capabilities of all sets of the system to perform the various functions of which the system's key telephones are capable. The display indicates three conditions: whether all telephones are capable of performing the indicated function, whether no telephones are capable of performing the function, or whether at least one but not all telephones are so capable. The setting of operating data is facilitated by this display. Changes made in operating data are not permanent until a setting key is depressed. Before that, the original operating data may be recovered.

  • Patent number: 4414732
Abstract: In a machine tool with an automatic tool change function, a rotatable tool spindle carries a key engageable with a key-way formed on a tool. A tool change arm, serving as a tool support device, rotatably supports at least one tool to selectively insert and remove the same into and from said tool spindle. When a tool change operation is to be performed, the rotation of the spindle is changed into a predetermined speed suitable for the key-way engagement. An operating device is provided for causing relative movement between the tool change arm and the spindle to insert a tool into the spindle. However, the relative movement thereof is stopped by a stopping device just before the engagement of the key with the key-way. Subsequently, when a first detecting device detects that the key has reached a predetermined angular position, the relative movement of the tool change arm is permitted to thereby make engagement of the key with the key-way.

  • Patent number: 4189963
Abstract: An index apparatus for indexing a rotary table rotatably and vertically slidably received within a base, comprises a pair of coupling members secured to the rotary table and the base, respectively, and engageable with each other. The rotary table is lifted and lowered by a hydraulic actuator. The rotary table is rotated by a drive means including a drive motor. Generating means are provided to generate a signal each time the rotary table is rotated a unit angle. Control means are provided to reduce the rotational speed of the rotary table in response to the number of signals generated from the generating means, when the rotary table is rotated to a position spaced a predetermined angular distance from a desired angular position thereof. Control means also cause the rotation of the rotary table to stop in response to the number of signals from the generating means, when the rotary table is rotated to the desired angular position thereof.
