  • Patent number: 8656306
Abstract: An image displaying apparatus for a computer selectively executing a full-screen display or a frame display on a monitor screen is disclosed. The apparatus includes a main screen generating unit generating a predetermined main screen, a full-screen displaying unit displaying the main screen in a full-screen display, a mouse operation determining unit detecting a moving operation of the mouse to determine whether or not the moving operation is a predetermined first movement, a full-screen display detecting unit detecting whether or not the main screen is in the full-screen display, and a composite displaying unit displaying a predetermined sub-screen on the screen and the main screen downscaled so that the whole main screen is displayed on the remaining range of the screen when the mouse operation determining unit determines, during the full-screen display, that the moving operation is the first movement.

  • Patent number: 8068611
Abstract: A method is provided of playing a broadcast program content, which includes: (a) producing a combination-dependent unique key which is unique to a combination of a tuner unit and a computer unit; and (b) in response to issuance of a real-time play command or a recorded-video playback command from a user, playing a broadcast program content in real-time after transmission thereof from the tuner unit to the computer unit, or playing back recorded data after retrieval thereof from a data storage. In an illustrative embodiment, the produced combination-dependent unique key is outputted into an encryptor of the tuner unit for encryption, and the encrypted digital data is inputted into the computer unit. A decryptor of the computer unit is caused to attempt decryption of the encrypted digital data, using the produced combination-dependent unique key.

  • Publication number: 20090217190
Abstract: A data broadcast receiving apparatus is configured to provide interactive display of data broadcast in response to an input operation on a personal computer. The personal computer is connectable to a display device and a mouse including a wheel. The digital data receiving apparatus is configured to provide a display area reserved for a display of the data broadcast and an operation area reserved for a display of operation buttons, which are defined on a display screen. The digital data receiving apparatus is configured to detect the input operation from the mouse to perform the interactive display based on a description of data contained in the data broadcast in response to the input operation of the mouse. The scroll operation of the wheel of the mouse is assigned to operations on at least one of the operation buttons.
