Patent number: 9310348Abstract: The submergence detecting device includes a submergence detecting terminal and a submergence judging device. The submergence detecting terminal is composed of at least two conductive sections disposed within a case. The submergence detecting terminal detects a submergence state by coming into contact with water that has infiltrated a predetermined area within the case. The submergence judging device is disposed within the case. At least a signal related to submergence detection is inputted into the submergence judging device from the submergence detecting terminal. The submergence judging device then judges whether or not submergence has occurred. The submergence detecting terminal is disposed in a position away from the submergence judging device in the downward direction.Type: GrantFiled: February 4, 2013Date of Patent: April 12, 2016Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventor: Yoshiki Adachi

Patent number: 9257728Abstract: A battery pack has battery cells and bus bars. Each of the battery cells is covered with an exterior case. All the battery cells are electrically connected in series through the bus bars. The battery cells are divided into a first stacked group and a second stacked group arranged adjacent to each other in a lateral direction of the battery pack. The battery cells in each stacked group are stacked in a thickness direction of the battery pack. The stacked groups have a different number of the battery cells in order to make a stair structure. An electrode terminal of one end terminal of the battery cells connected in series is arranged adjacent to the stair structure. A control board is arranged on a lower step part of the stair structure. Devices formed on the control board detect a state of each battery cell.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2012Date of Patent: February 9, 2016Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Yoshiki Adachi, Tatsuya Saito, Norihiko Ito, Yuya Mizuma

Patent number: 9166209Abstract: A battery unit is provided which includes an assembled battery module equipped with a plurality of cells, a control board on which a charging/discharging controller is mounted, a storage case in which the assembled battery module, and the control board are disposed, and a swell limiter. The assembled battery module includes a battery body in which the cells are stacked over a bottom plate The swell limiter is located on the opposite side of the assembled battery module than the bottom plate is. The swell limiter is separate from the battery body when any of the cells is not swelling and works to make physical contact with the battery body when any of the cells has swollen to suppress swelling of the cell.Type: GrantFiled: July 5, 2013Date of Patent: October 20, 2015Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventor: Yoshiki Adachi

Patent number: 9034496Abstract: A battery unit has battery cells having electrode terminals, bus bars having voltage potential detection terminals, a control board having a voltage detection circuit and a discharge duct. In the battery cell, the electrode terminals of the battery cells are electrically connected to the voltage potential detection terminals of the bus bars. The voltage potential detection terminals of the bus bars are electrically connected to the voltage detection circuit formed on the control board through metal conductive members or lines. The voltage detection circuit detects a voltage potential of each of the battery cells through the metal conductive members. The metal conductive members are not dedicated components, and integrated with the discharge duct by insert molding.Type: GrantFiled: November 23, 2012Date of Patent: May 19, 2015Assignee: DENSO CORPORATIONInventors: Yoshiki Adachi, Tatsuya Saito, Norihiko Ito, Yuya Mizuma

Patent number: 8491017Abstract: An engagement section of a holder is engaged with a metal gasket, the gasket is received in a tubular section, and the tubular section is fitted in a step of a connection pipe. Another connection pipe is placed close to and facing the connection pipe that holds the gasket through the holder, and a center ring is installed surrounding the outer peripheries of the flanges. While a trapezoidal section having slopes which define both sides is inserted into a groove, center ring segments are closed to form a ring shape. A bolt which penetrates through a cutout of a segment is screwed into a threaded hole of the segment. The screwing of the bolt causes the amount of insertion of the trapezoidal section, which has slopes which define both sides, into the groove to be increased. As a result, the distance between flanges is reduced and the contact pressure of projections against both sides of the gasket is increased.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 2006Date of Patent: July 23, 2013Assignee: Ihara Science CorporationInventors: Miyoshi Kimura, Yusuke Nagase, Yoshiki Adachi

Publication number: 20080290658Abstract: Engagement section 7a of holder 7 is engaged with a metal gasket 6, gasket 6 is received in tubular section 7b, and tubular section 7b is fitted in step 5a of connection pipe 1a. Then, another connection pipe 1b is placed close to and facing connection pipe 1a that holds gasket 6 through holder 7, and center ring 9 is installed surrounding the outer peripheries of flanges 2a, 2b. Subsequently, while a trapezoidal section having slopes 3a, 3b which define both sides is inserted into groove 14, segments 10a-10c are closed to form a ring shape. Bolt 11 which penetrates through cutout 12 of segment 10a is screwed into threaded hole 13 of segment 10c. The screwing of the bolt causes the amount of insertion of the trapezoidal section, which has slopes 3a, 3b which define both sides, into groove 14 to be increased. As a result, the distance between flanges 2a, 2b is reduced and the contact pressure of projections 4a, 4b against both sides of gasket 6 is increased.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 17, 2006Publication date: November 27, 2008Applicant: IHARA SCIENCE CORPORATIONInventors: Miyoshi Kimura, Yusuke Nagase, Yoshiki Adachi

Patent number: 7440202Abstract: Shafts are fixed to a base and extend in a direction parallel to a center axis of a through hole of the base. Two yoke arrangements are installed to the shafts. A lens holder frame holds a lens, which has an optical axis parallel to the central axis of the through hole of the base. The lens holder frame is axially placed in a space between the two yoke arrangements and is swingably supported by a plurality of wire springs, which are fixed to the base. Drive coils are fixed to the lens holder frame and generate a drive force to move the lens holder frame.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2006Date of Patent: October 21, 2008Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Yoshiki Adachi, Hiroshi Ezawa

Patent number: 7382442Abstract: A polygon mirror of an object detector of a vehicle includes first faces for projecting a laser to a first predetermined area and a second face for projecting the laser to a second predetermined area higher than the first predetermined area. The polygon mirror is rotated to project the laser to the first and second predetermined areas through a projection window. Thus, the laser can be projected not only to an area at normal height in front of the vehicle but also to an area higher than the normal height in front of the vehicle. Thus, even if a reflection object of an obstacle is positioned at a high position, probe light can be projected to the reflection object. As a result, object detection or distance measurement can be performed correctly.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2005Date of Patent: June 3, 2008Assignee: Denso CorporationInventors: Yoshiki Adachi, Takekazu Terui

Publication number: 20050219503Abstract: An object detecting apparatus emits a detecting wave to the outside, and receives the detecting wave reflected from an object. The object detecting apparatus includes a case that accommodates a wave-emitting device, which emits the detecting wave, and a wave-receiving device, which receives the detecting wave reflected from the obstacle. A projection window and an entrance window, which are formed of a material transmitting the detecting wave, are provided to the case. The detecting wave emitted from the wave-emitting device passes through the projection window. The detecting wave is reflected from the obstacle, and is received by the wave-receiving device after passing through the entrance window. A reinforcing member, which is formed of a material that transmits the detecting wave, is arranged in front of the projection window and the entrance window.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 30, 2005Publication date: October 6, 2005Inventors: Yoshiki Adachi, Takekazu Terui
