  • Patent number: 8332615
Abstract: A management system detects a peak time period during which accesses are concentrated on a logical page included in a logical volume, and reallocates this logical page to an appropriate physical page. A management server detects an access variation of each logical volume, and selects a volume with a large access variation as a target volume. The management server measures the access status of each logical page in the target volume, and allocates a logical page to a more appropriate physical page.

  • Patent number: 8045735
Abstract: An ultrasonic transducer includes: a pair of fixed electrodes including a conductive member; a vibrating film having a conductive layer; and a member which holds the pair of fixed electrodes and the vibrating film. The vibrating film is formed of nonconductive bodies and has an electrode layer formed of a conductive material. The electrode layer is applied with a DC bias voltage of a single polarity by a DC bias supply, and is also applied with an AC signal output from a signal source superimposed on the DC bias voltage. The pair of fixed electrodes have a plurality of holes of the same number at positions facing each other via the vibrating film, and an AC signal is applied between the conductive members of the pair of fixed electrodes by the signal source.

  • Patent number: 8010836
Abstract: When failure occurs in a virtualization apparatus in storage network circumstances in which the virtualization apparatus is operated, a storage management server judges volume position information, cache configuration information and pair configuration information which are configuration information of the virtualization apparatus and external storage collectively to decide candidates of recovery methods of volume and candidates of recovery methods of data in the volume, so that construction of a physical volume and a pair and recovery of data are performed and an access path is then changed to the recovered physical primary volume. Consequently, change to the system configuration in which operation is performed without passing through the virtualization apparatus can be made in a short time and continuous operation can be attained.

  • Patent number: 8009846
Abstract: An ultrasonic speaker including: a vibration film having a conductive layer; a pair of fixed electrodes provided oppositely to respective surfaces of the vibration film; and an ultrasonic transducer that causes the vibration film to generate sound waves by applying a DC bias voltage to the conductive layer of the vibration film while applying an alternating signal between the pair of fixed electrodes, and outputs the sound waves generated by the vibration film from two sound wave output surfaces via through-holes provided in each of the pair of fixed electrodes. The two sound wave output surfaces of the ultrasonic transducer are disposed in a direction intersecting with a sound wave emitting direction at right angles.

  • Patent number: 7756530
Abstract: The invention provides a data output system which can control a printer in accordance with the position of a user without providing a mobile terminal and the printer with special devices, which can reduce the processing load on the mobile terminal, which can ensure the convenience of the user when using the printer, and which avoids inconvenience as a result of incorrect settings by the user. The invention can include a print control terminal that obtains mobile terminal position information from a relay station. When the distance between the mobile terminal position specified by the obtained mobile terminal position information and the printer position specified by printer position information from a storage device is less than a predetermined value, a print command and corresponding print data are transmitted to a printer PR in response to a request from a mobile terminal.
