  • Patent number: 4923178
Abstract: A fluid-filled cylindrical elastic mount including an inner and an outer sleeve; an elastic body interposed between the inner and outer sleeves; a rigid sleeve disposed over at least an outer circumferential surface of opposite axial end portions of the elastic body; a pressure-receiving chamber provided between the inner and outer sleeves, filled with a non-compressible fluid, and receiving a vibrational load to be damped; an equilibrium chamber provided between the inner and outer sleeves, filled with the fluid, and at least partially defined by a flexible wall; a restricted passage for restricted fluid communication between the pressure-receiving and equilibrium chambers; a recess-defining member disposed between the inner and outer sleeves, for defining a radially outwardly opening recess, the outer sleeve covering the recess to provide a space of a predetermined volume; and an elastic sleeve for fluid-tight sealing between the outer and rigid sleeves.

  • Patent number: 4893798
Abstract: A fluid-filled elastic bushing including an inner sleeve and an outer sleeve disposed radially outwardly of the inner sleeve, an elastic member elastically connecting the inner and outer sleeves, so as to provide an assembly having a plurality of fluid-filled chambers which are spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction of the sleeves and an orifice for fluid communication between the chambers, and a wing member disposed in at least one pressure-receiving chamber of the fluid chambers to which a vibrational load is applied. The wing member is supported by one of the sleeves and the elastic member, and cooperates with the assembly to define a restricted portion within the pressure-receiving chamber.

  • Patent number: 4871152
Abstract: A fluid-filled resilient bushing having inner and outer sleeves, and a resilient member interposed between the inner and outer sleeves for primarily damping and isolating vibrating applied in a first diametric direction of the bushing. The bushing has a pair of first fluid chambers disposed in mutually opposed relation with each other in the first diametric direction, a pair of second fluid chambers disposed in mutually opposed relation with each other in a second diametric direction perpendicular to the first diametric direction, and at least one orifice through which the pair of first fluid chambers communicate with each other, so as to permit a working fluid to flow between the first fluid chambers upon application of the vibrations.

  • Patent number: 4848756
Abstract: A fluid-filled cylindrical elastic mount including an inner and an outer sleeve disposed in radially spaced-apart relation with each other and attached to one and the other of a load member and a support structure, an elastic body interposed between the inner and outer sleeves for elastically connecting these sleeves and having a pressure-receiving chamber, and a closure member cooperating with the outer sleeve to define a equilibrium chamber within a void formed between the inner and outer sleeves so as to extend in the axial direction of the sleeves. The pressure-receiving and equilibrium chambers are filled with a non-compressible fluid and communicate with each other through a restricted passage. A protective member fixedly provided on the inner sleeve for movement with the inner sleeve is inserted through the void so as to elastically deform the closure member toward the outer sleeve before the elastic mount is attached to the load member.
