  • Patent number: 6324051
Abstract: A solid electrolytic capacitor includes a capacitor element having an anode of a valve action metal, an oxide film layer formed on the surface of the anode, a solid electrolytic layer formed on the oxide film layer and a cathode electrically connected to the solid electrolytic layer, and also a packaging resin formed to cover the capacitor element. An intermediate layer to relieve stress is arranged in at least one part of the interface between the cathode and the packaging resin. The intermediate layer is deformed and/or peels to relieve stress caused by heat applied while mounting the capacitor element on a substrate.

  • Patent number: 6278902
Abstract: A DSP of a servo control circuit obtains a movement value of a servomotor for each axis for each position-speed feedback processing cycle in accordance with a move command value for each axis delivered from a main processor with every distribution cycle, and also obtains a position correction value in accordance with pressure information detected by a sensor. The DSP of the servo control circuit carries out position-speed feedback processing with the use of a move command value which is obtained by correcting the movement value with the obtained position correction value, and drives the servomotor.

  • Patent number: 5890580
Abstract: An object levitating apparatus, an object transporting apparatus equipped with said object levitating apparatus, and an object levitating bearing as well as an object levitating process and object transporting process are described which, simultaneous to not placing restrictions on the material and so forth of the objects handled, are able to handle objects having relatively large weights and dimensions, while also being compact in size, inexpensive, preferable in terms of safety and so forth, and easy to control. The above effects are obtained by exciting a vibrator and levitating, transporting or bearing an object above the surface of the vibrator by the radiation pressure of the sound waves of the vibrator.

  • Patent number: 5841257
Abstract: A circuit for supplying/interrupting power to robots in a robot control system which controls two robots by use of one controller. This circuit for supplying/interrupting power to robots includes a common power interrupting circuit, which simultaneously interrupts power supplies to two robots, and power interrupting circuits for individual robots, which individually interrupt power supplies to individual robots. When a common cutoff switch circuit in the common power interrupting circuit is operated on the basis of an emergency stop signal or an alarm signal, two relays are deenergized at the same time, thereby simultaneously interrupting power supply to two robots. When one of the cutoff switch circuits in the power interrupting circuit for each robot is operated by an emergency stop signal or an alarm signal, only one corresponding relay is deenergized, thereby interrupting power supply to one appropriate robot.

  • Patent number: 5783922
Abstract: A robot controller capable of performing the lead-through-teaching easily and safely. When an operator depresses a lead-through-teach enabling switch (12) provided at a main body of a control apparatus, power supply to a servo control unit (17) is stopped and mechanical brakes (18) are set effective. When a deadman switch (4) is depressed by the operator holding a teaching handle (3), an electromagnetic relay RL1 is energized and a normally-open contact (14) is closed. Consequently, the mechanical brakes (18) are rendered ineffective and an electromagnetic relay RL2 is energized to close a normally-open contact (15), whereby electric power is supplied to the servo control unit (17). Further, a signal for setting a torque command to zero is inputted to the servo control unit. Thus, the operator can move the robot in a desired direction. When the operator stops depressing the deadman switch (4), the mechanical brake is immediately set effective to lock the robot at its current position.

  • Patent number: 5760560
Abstract: A robot apparatus which does not need an expensive connecting cable for connecting a robot to a controller. Since the controller is separately composed of a control unit (12), an operation box (13) and a teaching pendant (14), the size of the control unit (12) except an operation system can be reduced, the control unit (12) can be installed in a small dead space within a safety fence which cannot be intrinsically used and directly coupled with the robot (11) without using a connecting cable therebetween. The operation box (13) and the teaching pendant (14) as the operation system are installed outside of the safety fence (15).

  • Patent number: 5749058
Abstract: A robot system allows an operator to connect a peripheral to a robot controller without entering the operation range of a movable robot assembly. The robot controller has a data communication interface therein which is connected through a connector cable to a relay that is mounted on a safety cage. The relay has a connector for connecting a data communication cable to which a transmitter/receiver is connected. A peripheral such as a programmable logic controller or a personal computer is connected to the transmitter/receiver through a data communication cable. When the data communication cable connected to the transmitter/receiver is connected to the relay, the robot controller is connected to a network. The robot controller can easily be connected to the peripheral by connecting the data communication cable to the relay.

  • Patent number: 5658121
Abstract: A robot system has an enhanced cooling efficiency of the interior of a robot controller thereof. A robot mechanical unit has a base with an internal vacant space. The robot controller is arranged in close contact with the base of the robot mechanical unit, and a radiating fin of a servoamplifier arranged within the robot controller projects into the vacant space within the base. Most heat within such a robot controller is generated by the servoamplifier. The radiating fin dissipates the heat generated by the servoamplifier into the vacant space within the base of the robot mechanical unit. The base has a large surface area, which makes it possible to efficiently dissipate heat within it for cooling of the same. This improves the cooling efficiency of the interior of the robot controller.

  • Patent number: 5552687
Abstract: An emergency robot shutdown circuit reliably stops a movable component of a robot which has suffered an overtravel condition. The emergency robot shutdown circuit has three relays, and detects an overtravel condition of the robot with a dog located in a limit position of a normal operation range of the movable component of the robot to command an emergency shutdown of the robot. The second relay holds an overtravel signal which is outputted from a detecting circuit. A switching transistor is connected parallel to a make contact of the second relay, and an overtravel cancel switch is connected parallel to another make contact of the second relay. The base of the switching transistor is supplied with an overtravel unlatching pulse in synchronism with the closing of the overtravel cancel switch. The third relay, which is connected in series with the other make contact of the second relay, has three make contacts which make up a power cutoff circuit.

  • Patent number: 5444342
Abstract: An emergency stop circuit of a teaching operation panel by which the teaching operation panel can be connected to and disconnected from a robot control device under predetermined conditions and the operation of a robot is not stopped even if the teaching operation panel is disconnected from the robot control device. When the robot, which has already been taught and is automatically operated, comes into contact with a connection cable between the teaching operation panel and the robot control device and disconnects the teaching operation panel from the robot control device, the emergency stop function of the robot is effected. When, however, the teaching operation panel is disconnected from a port while a connecting/disconnecting switch is turned ON, the emergency stop function of the robot is not effected. With this arrangement, the teaching operation panel can be disconnected from the robot control device while the robot is automatically operated.

  • Patent number: 5170109
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of controlling a robot, for restarting the robot by resupplying an electric power in the event of a power failure. When a power failure detection circuit detects that a voltage has dropped or has been cut off, the circuit notifies an operating method (OS) of this (S1) and the OS writes a power failure flag to a non-volatile memory and stops a task being performed (S2). The data of the task being performed is saved in the non-volatile memory. After the electric power has been resupplied (S10), the OS executes a power failure processing for itself, with reference to the power failure flag (S11), initializes hardware (S12), executes a power failure processing routine for each task (S13), and restarts the operation of the robot from the position at which the robot was stopped when the power failure occurred (S14).
