  • Patent number: 9091338
Abstract: A transmission gear has a tooth surface formed of a free-form surface instead of an involute surface and a root area formed of a free-form surface instead of a trochoid surface. With such a transmission gear, the fatigue strength against contact pressure can be increased by reducing the Hertzian stress in the area around the meshing point of the tooth surface. The tooth surface is formed of a free-form surface in which the smallest radius of curvature in an area around a mating pitch point is maximized, and the fatigue strength against bending can be increased by reducing the bending stress at a tooth root portion of the bottom land. In addition, the gear noise can be reduced. The bottom land is formed of a free-form surface in which the smallest radius of curvature in an area around a tooth root is maximized.

  • Publication number: 20070144289
Abstract: A gear in which forged chamfered portions are formed on the respective ridge line portions at intersections between tooth bottom lands, tooth flanks, and a tooth tip land of the gear and end faces in the axial direction of the gear, and which does not need machining such as cutting to remove burrs caused by hobbing in the conventional techniques.

  • Patent number: 6049288
Abstract: A display can be retractably provided on an upper surface of an instrument panel. The display can be arranged such that it is not overlapped with an operation lever in a parking position P and a driving position D, to which the operation lever is frequently shifted during driving, in the course of eyeshot of the driver in a driver's seat. Hence, the operation lever never obstructs the driver's eyeshot looking at a screen of the display. As a result, the driver can easily monitor or watch the screen of the display without obstruction.

  • Patent number: 6012785
Abstract: Pins of a display are inserted slidably into slide rails so as to regulate movement of the display. Lying holding portions for holding the display in its lying state via pins, guiding portions along which the pins are shifted up and down together with movement of the pins, and standing holding portions for holding the display in its standing state via the pins are provided in the slide rails respectively. As a result, play of the display can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5574646
Abstract: A gear noise evaluation system having a neuro-computer which is provided with sound pressure values from an FFT analyzer. At this time, an evaluator simultaneously presets an absolutely sensual evaluating value as a teacher signal from a control bench. The neuro-computer repeatedly performs a learning so that the pressure values may become the absolutely sensual evaluating value until the difference between the sound pressure value and the sensual evaluating value lies in a permissive error range thereby determining a function value.

  • Patent number: 5518270
Abstract: A vehicular knee protector device is comprised of a protector body and a pair of brackets. Each bracket is constituted by a V-shaped lower bracket and a V-shaped lower bracket. The upper bracket is fixed to the lower bracket so as to form a polygon space which is preferable deformed when predetermined force is applied to the knee protector device. Further, the lower bracket is formed so that a side to be connected to a vehicle body is structurally stronger than a side to be connected to a protector body to which driver's knees are impacted.

  • Patent number: 5492388
Abstract: A structure for a vehicle includes left and right side members such as left and right front pillars, and a cross member, such as a steering member, which extends laterally between the side members, and which has left and right ends, respectively, fastened to the left and right side members. The structure further includes an adjusting screw member which is mounted on one end of the cross member for adjusting the total length of the cross member so as to fit between the left and right side members. The adjusting operation is done by rotating the adjusting screw member in an unscrewing direction to increase the length until the screw member abuts on the adjacent side member, and the adjustable end of the cross member is fastened to this side member by a screw fastener. The adjusting screw member is formed with an engagement hole or socket for receiving a tool for torquing the screw member.

  • Patent number: 4872245
Abstract: A cold-rolled strip manufacturing apparatus, in which a continuous cold reduction mill and a continuous annealing furnace are directly linked together, has a tension-leveller-type scale breaker for elongating hot-rolled breakdown by 2 to 7 percent, a scale scrubbing brush unit and an immersion-type continuous pickling tank installed upstream of the continuous cold reduction mill.Descaling of the hot-rolled strip coil is carried out by breaking the mill scale formed on its surface by causing the running strip to elongate and then the broken scale is removed from the surface. The percent elongation given to the strip is feedforward controlled on the basis of the manufacturing conditions of the hot-rolled strip coil and/or the properties and quantity of the mill scale formed. In another descaling method, the percent elongation given to the strip is feedback controlled on the basis of the condition of scale breaking and removing that is detected during the period in which the mill scale is broken and removed.
