  • Patent number: 8575054
Abstract: The present invention provides a catalyst composition which can decompose an organic nitrogen compound at a relatively low temperature to convert the compound to N2 and render it harmless in the purification of an exhaust gas containing the compound (nitrogen-based exhaust gas); a catalyst containing the catalyst composition; a method for producing the catalyst; and an exhaust gas purification apparatus containing the catalyst. By using a catalyst composition formed by mixing copper oxide particles and zeolite particles, an organic nitrogen compound and/or ammonia can be converted to N2 highly selectively. The catalyst composition of the present invention may further contain a manganese oxide and/or a precious metal.

  • Patent number: 8220146
Abstract: A short-circuiting member for preventing a commutator from being elongated in the axial direction without increasing the types of different components. Each component includes outer circumference terminals arranged along an outer circumference, inner circumference terminals arranged along an inner circumference, and connection portions connecting corresponding outer and inner circumference terminals that are separated from each other by a predetermined angle in a circumferential direction. The outer and inner circumference terminals are substantially formed along the same plane. The components are laminated in a state in which the connection portions of one of the components are reversed to the connection portions of another one of the components.

  • Patent number: 7772739
Abstract: A commutator has a tabular holding portion defining a thickness direction. A plurality of segments are arranged in one end in the thickness direction of the holding portion in a radial pattern. Each of the segments has a slidable contact surface which is perpendicular to the thickness direction. A feeding brush is brought into slidable contact with the slidable contact surface. A tabular short-circuit unit short-circuits the segments to be set to the same electric potential with each other. The short-circuit unit is arranged parallel to the slidable contact surface. Accordingly, it is possible to enlarge a cross-sectional area which is perpendicular to a current passing direction of the coupling portion while suppressing an enlargement of a dimension in the axial direction of the commutator.

  • Patent number: 7727923
Abstract: The challenge for the present invention is to provide a catalyst composition restrained from declining in performance over time in purifying an exhaust gas containing an organic compound a silicon compound, a catalyst containing the catalyst composition, and a method for producing the catalyst. This challenge is solved by using a catalyst composition containing zeolite added to precious metal-carried alumina, and the silicon resistance of the catalyst is improved greatly. The amount of acid of the zeolite added is preferably in the range of 0.4 mmol·NH3/g to 1.5 mmol·NH3/g.

  • Patent number: 7605516
Abstract: A commutator connected to armature coils includes circumferentially arranged segments, short-circuit conductors, and a surge absorbing element. The number of the segments is a multiple of the number of the armature coils. The segments include a plurality of pairs of segments. The segments in each pair are adjacent to each other in the circumferential direction. Each segment in each pair is connected to one of the ends of corresponding one of the armature coils. The number of the short-circuit conductors is the same as the number of the armature coils. Each short-circuit conductor short-circuits segments that are at the same potential to each other. Each short-circuit conductor is connected, either directly or via corresponding one of the segments, to the surge absorbing element, so that the surge absorbing element is electrically interposed between the ends of each armature coil.

  • Patent number: 7569969
Abstract: An insulator is mounted in an armature core. Coils are wound around teeth of the armature core by way of concentrated winding. A power feeding member, which supplies a current to the coils, includes a connecting portion. A separating portion, which is provided in the insulator, is located in the teeth. The separating portion separates each of the coils to a first portion and a second portion. The connecting portion is electrically connected to the first portion. Accordingly, while preventing damage to the coils, the coils are easily connected to the power feeding member.

  • Patent number: 7550893
Abstract: Coils are provided on a plurality of tooth sections of a core. The coils are formed by successively winding a conductor on the tooth sections with at least one tooth section between each successive windings, such that each portion of the conductor extending between two tooth sections located with at least one tooth section therebetween forms a jumper wire extending in the circumferential direction of the core. A commutator has a plurality of claw portions projecting to the outside of the commutator. Each of the claw portions electrically connects one of a plurality of segments to one of the jumper wires. When the core and the commutator are attached to a rotary shaft, each claw portion is arranged at a position corresponding to one of the jumper wires as viewed in the axial direction of the rotary shaft.

  • Publication number: 20090146525
Abstract: A segment center line is defined for each segment. Each segment center line extends from the center in the circumferential direction of the radially outer end of the segment to the center in the circumferential direction of the radially inner end of the segment. A portion of each segment center line where there is the center in the circumferential direction of the radially inner end is inclined in a first circumferential direction relative to the radial line. A short-circuit member has a plurality of connection pieces. Each connection piece has an outer short-circuit end, an inner short-circuit end, and a coupling portion. Each coupling portion links the outer short-circuit end to the inner short-circuit end, which is shifted in a second circumferential direction from the outer short-circuit end.

  • Patent number: 7352100
Abstract: A stator of a direct current motor includes six magnetic poles. An armature of the direct current motor includes an armature core having eight slots, a plurality of windings wound around the armature core as concentrated windings, and a commutator having twenty-four segments connected to the windings. The plurality of windings are connected to one another to form a single closed loop. The direct current motor further includes an anode power supply brush and a cathode power supply brush that slidably contact the segments. The aspect ratio, which is the ratio of the diameter of the armature core with respect to the length in the axial direction of the armature core is set to a range of 3.2 through 5.6. This increases the constraint torque/mass ratio of the direct current motor.
