  • Patent number: 11945332
Abstract: A vehicle includes: an instrument panel; and an ECU that controls the instrument panel so that the instrument panel displays an icon representing a status of a battery. The icon represents one of a first indication and a second indication by an increase or decrease of a scale in a display region of the icon, and the other one of the first indication and the second indication by an amount indicated by a size of a display area of the icon, the first indication representing SOC of the battery, the second indication representing a full charge capacity of the battery.

  • Patent number: 11750006
Abstract: An estimation system, includes: a secondary battery; a monitoring device that detects a voltage and a current of the secondary battery; and a processor that estimates a full charge capacity of the secondary battery using a detection result of the monitoring device. The processor calculates a first charging rate of the secondary battery using a current integration amount in charging, discharging, or charging and discharging of the secondary battery and using a full charge capacity of the secondary battery that was estimated last time; calculates a second charging rate of the secondary battery using an open circuit voltage of the secondary battery, when a predetermined time has elapsed without charging and discharging since the first charging rate is calculated; and performs correction, when a magnitude of a difference between the first and second charging rates is larger than a threshold, on the full charge capacity based on the difference.

  • Publication number: 20230194619
Abstract: The battery system includes a secondary battery, a voltage sensor, a current sensor, a temperature sensor, and a processor. The processor is configured to calculate a polarization overvoltage by subtracting a voltage drop amount caused by a DC resistance and a reactive resistance of the secondary battery determined in accordance with a temperature and an SOC of the secondary battery from a voltage difference between OCV and CCV of the secondary battery.

  • Patent number: 11422197
Abstract: A battery system includes a controller that performs a calculation to calculate an internal resistance of a battery, and executes a predetermined operation based on the result. The calculation includes obtaining a regression line through a regression analysis of a current-voltage plot obtained from voltage sensor and current sensor, and calculating the internal resistance from a slope of the regression line. The controller calculates a first internal resistance through the calculation based on a first group of detection values of the voltage and current detected a plurality of times, and calculate a second internal resistance through the calculation based on a second group of detection values. The controller executes the predetermined operation when a resistance difference between the first and second internal resistances is smaller than a reference value, and does not execute the operation when the resistance difference is larger than the reference value.
