The information processing terminal, in accordance with an instruction to incorporate an image file, sends to the image forming apparatus information that includes at least identification information by which to identify a storage destination for the image file, a file name for the data file corresponding to a selected icon and storage position information that indicates the storage position in a folder of a directory in the storage destination in which the data file is to be stored. The image forming apparatus registers the information, and causes a selection key for the registered information to be displayed. A new selection key is created for information to be displayed when new settings information is registered based on the information sent from the information processing terminal.

Abstract: A user interface which displays information regarding a job registered in an image forming apparatus includes a job information acquisition unit which acquires information regarding the job, an editing function selection unit which acquires selection of an editing function to the information regarding the job by a user, a job information editing unit which carries out the selected editing function to the information regarding the job, limiting the editing of a predetermined item of the information regarding the job, and a job information display unit which displays the edited job information.

Abstract: When a PC as a transmission destination and a shared folder as a saving destination are designated and start of scanning is instructed, a scanner apparatus scans an original, confirms state of activation of the PC and stores the scan data temporarily in a storage unit until the PC is activated. When the PC is activated and transmission becomes possible, the scan data that has been stored in the storage unit is transmitted to the PC and saved in the designated shared folder.

The display device displays an image based on the data output from the data processing apparatus.

If a received email instructs one-touch key registration, mailing information including recipient information and one or more attached files can be obtained from the email and associated with a one-touch key. If reading of an original document by the image reader is specified by operation of a one-touch key, the mailing information and file information associated with the one-touch key can be read, an email can be created including the created image file and the one or more attached files, and the email can be sent to a recipient corresponding to the recipient information.
