  • Patent number: 10732299
Abstract: A velocity estimation device including an acceleration sensor and a yaw rate sensor is provided. The velocity estimation device determines an initial velocity value of a mobile object based on a velocity estimation expression, an integrated value of acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor, and a relative azimuth calculated from detected yaw rates. The velocity estimation device estimates the velocity of the mobile object based on the initial velocity value and the integrated value of acceleration. In the velocity estimation expression, a magnitude of the velocity vector is constrained by the velocity of the mobile object and a time variation of a direction of the velocity vector is constrained by a time variation of the azimuth of the mobile object in the traveling direction.

  • Patent number: 10365109
Abstract: A travel distance estimation device is provided. The travel distance estimation device includes an estimated velocity determination unit that successively estimates an estimated velocity of a movable object based on an acceleration integrated value and a velocity initial value a travel distance calculation unit that successively calculates an estimated travel distance of the movable object based on the estimated velocity, and a past velocity correction unit that determines corrected past velocities by correcting pre-correction past estimated velocities so that the corrected past velocities are continuous with the velocity initial value determined this time. The pre-corrected past estimated velocities are the estimated velocities that were successively determined. The travel distance estimation device further includes a travel distance correction unit that recalculates based on the corrected past velocities an estimated travel distance.

  • Patent number: 9103680
Abstract: An image pickup device picks-up forward images, and a GPS information acquiring section acquires satellite information that includes Doppler frequencies. A position/velocity vector computing section computes a velocity vector by using the Doppler frequencies. A locus computing section computes a locus of positions of ones own vehicle. A projected image generating section generates, from the forward images, projected images that are projected onto a road surface. A local map generating section records road surface images, that are obtained for respective points on the locus of ones own vehicle, at respective regions of a local map that is determined on the basis of a traveling direction of a moving body at each point on the locus and a set position and a posture of the image pickup device. Due thereto, a local map generating device can, by a simple structure, generate a highly accurate map.

  • Publication number: 20070223479
Abstract: A communication processing apparatus appends group information representing a group to received communication frames. Group information to be appended to the communication frames is changed on a predetermined cycle. The communication frames processed in each processing unit are counted separately for each of the group information appended, and the count value is collected in each processing unit. With a communication processing apparatus, such as a switch and a router, which has a plurality of processing units (device), performs processing by each of the processing units on the communication frames received from a receiving unit, and transmits the processed communication frames from a transmitting unit, it is possible to realize a communication processing apparatus and a totalizing system capable of accurately counting and collecting the communication frames while performing an operation when totalizing the number of communication frames processed in each of the processing units.
