  • Patent number: 8614813
Abstract: File name data is transmitted from a mobile telephone to a relay server. The file specified by the file name data is read from a database and transmitted to a print service server. In response, a reservation code is transmitted from the print service server to the mobile telephone via the relay server. The user of the mobile telephone goes to a store where a printer has been installed and inputs the reservation code to the printer. The reservation code is transmitted from the printer to the print service server and the file corresponding to the reservation code is transmitted to and printed by the printer. Since the mobile telephone need only transmit the file name data in a case where printing is performed at the printer, data traffic through the mobile telephone is reduced.

  • Publication number: 20110055679
Abstract: In order to enable a mobile terminal where software necessary to open a document file is not installed to display a document linked from a markup document such as an HTML document, a document link converting system converts an HTML of a web page requested by a mobile terminal in accordance with a terminal type of the mobile terminal which requests an access to the web page, and sends the converted HTML to the mobile terminal. When a document is specified by the mobile terminal, the document link converting system sends an application for browsing the document to the mobile terminal, creates an image for browsing the specified document, and sends the created image to the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal displays the image for browsing with using the received application for browsing the document.

  • Patent number: 7877684
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus and method for producing a calendar. A report, which includes an image and is contributed by a contributor, is recorded and distributed. The invention counts the number of viewings of the image in the report by a viewer, and acquires information on a photographing density. This photographing density expresses the number of images photographed or contributed in a predetermined period before and after a time and date when the image in the report was photographed or contributed. The invention extracts an image for a calendar on the basis of the number of viewings and the photographing density from among the images contributed or photographed in a predetermined month. When a calendar production instruction is received, the invention produces a calendar for the predetermined month when the image was contributed or photographed using the extracted image.

  • Publication number: 20110016197
Abstract: It is so arranged that when a client terminal communicates with a content server via a proxy server, the history of such communication can be ascertained. A request for a menu page is transmitted from the client terminal to the proxy server. A link to the content server has been embedded in the menu page. Data representing the menu page in which the URL of this link destination has been converted is transmitted to the client terminal. If the web page at the link destination that has been embedded in the menu page is requested by the client terminal, the proxy server restores the URL to the URL that prevailed before the conversion and requests the content server for the web page. The web page requested from the client terminal is stored in the proxy server. Thus, even if the client terminal requests the web pages of a plurality of content servers, the history thereof can be ascertained.

  • Patent number: 7714906
Abstract: According to the present invention, groups each of whose number of photographed image data is large and whose photographing dates/times are consecutive are integrated as an important group, so that image data, for example, corresponding to a series of images photographed during event or the like over a few days can be classified into an important group automatically, and a level of importance of the image data can be calculated. Thereby, retrieving of stored images is facilitated and utilization rate of images can be increased.

  • Patent number: 7668457
Abstract: A image archiving apparatus is connected to a digital still camera and acquires the serial ID and product ID of the camera. The image archiving apparatus reads image files from the camera. If a camera folder corresponding to the connected camera has been generated, the read image files are stored in this folder. If the folder has not been generated, a new folder is generated and the read image files are stored in the generated folder. Image files are organized and stored in a folder that corresponds to the model of the camera that applies the image files to the image archiving apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20090094290
Abstract: When a user of a mobile phone browses a document in a document management server via a network, the user can input information (sticker information) on the browsed document and send it to the document management server. The document management server relates the received information to the pertinent document file when storing the information. Thus, when a document is browsed from a mobile device, information on the document can be easily left and the information left can be browsed later.

  • Patent number: 7516207
Abstract: An edited image is created using fonts capable of being employed by both a client computer and a server. To accomplish this, the user of the computer selects a service to be utilized. Client information, which includes the service selected, information relating to the operating system of the computer and information relating to fonts that can be utilized by the computer, is transmitted to the server. The latter creates a list of fonts that can be utilized by the computer and transmits the data of the created font list and editing home-page data to the computer. The user of the computer decides fonts to be used in the edited image from among the fonts that have been transmitted and edits the image by using these fonts. Information for editing is transmitted from the client computer to the server, where the edited image is then printed out.

  • Patent number: 7315386
Abstract: In a system in which an editing server and a plurality of client computers are capable of communicating with one another, an edited image can be generated by the plurality of client computers. When image data is transmitted from the image server to the client computer, the resolution of image data to be transmitted is reduced in correspondence with the resolution of a monitor display device connected to the client computer. Further, the number of colors of an image represented by the image data is decreased in correspondence with the number of colors which can be displayed on the monitor display device. The data quantity of the image data to be transmitted is reduced, so that time required to transmit the image data is shortened. A client computer and a main image server are connected to each other. A user image to be synthesized on a template image is read in the client computer.
