  • Patent number: 4644209
Abstract: A cup-shaped winding for use in the rotor or stator of a motor such as a coreless motor or slotless motor makes use of leakage flux as well as magnetic flux in the main direction. The cup-shaped winding consists of wire bands which are lap wound such that they are successively shifted a given angle from one another about the rotating shaft of a core. The winding is shaped into a cylinder or cone. The portion of each wire band which is on the bottom of the cylinder or cone does not surround the rotating shaft and forms two sides that meet at a vertex lying on the periphery of the rotating shaft. The portion of each wire band which is on the curved surface of the cylinder or cone are inclined away from the rotating shaft.

  • Patent number: 4607803
Abstract: An electromechanical transducer has a coreless rotor or stator winding formed of a series of flat band loops, in case of a long or short cup-shaped cylindrical winding, each of the loops having an active portion inclined to both the axial and tangential direction of the rotor or stator winding and an inactive bowstring portion oriented perpendicular to the axial direction thereof. In case of a nearly flat disc or dish shaped rotor or stator winding, each of the loops has a main active portion at a top or bottom portion of the winding, the active portion being perpendicular to the axial direction of the winding. An output torque to be generated therefrom an effective magnetic flux area and density is improved.

  • Patent number: 4453100
Abstract: A coil element of the invention is formed by a flat ring-shaped original winding. Reference lines which pass the central point form angles .alpha. and .beta.. Points at intersections of the periphery of the flat ring-shaped original winding and the reference lines are thus determined. Bending lines which extend from the points and which form an angle .phi. with the reference lines are determined. The flat ring-shaped original winding is divided into first and second coil segments. The first coil segment is bent along the bending lines and pressed on part of the second coil segment to manufacture the coil element.

  • Patent number: 4401907
Abstract: An electric motor coil element embodying this invention is manufactured by the steps of closely winding a single wire about a columnar bobbin to provide a cylindrical original winding having a diameter d, setting a 2n number of equal division points on the periphery of said cylindrical original winding to divide said periphery into equal parts, specifying the bending lines which pass through the equal division points at prescribed angles .phi..sub.1 and .phi..sub.2 to the reference lines which are set in parallel with the axis of said cylindrical original winding and pass through said equal division points, and bending the segments of said original cylindrical winding is such a manner that said bending lines project alternately inward and outward along the periphery of an imaginary block form having a prescribed shape.
