These four optical isomers have different activities for their .beta.-adrenergic-blocking effect and .alpha.-adrenergic-blocking effect and are useful as valuable agents for therapeutic treatment of various cardiovascular diseases, as compared to an optically inactive racemic mixture of said isomer compounds.
