Abstract: In a fold-up type of portable telephone device, the casing to be opened/closed has liquid crystal display devices on its front and back sides, which causes occurrence of noise. In view of this, in the liquid crystal display device of a portable telephone device, a flexible connection substrate is used to integrally form first and second liquid crystal display parts with a driver circuit shared therebetween. The first liquid crystal display part is connected to the flexible connection substrate to which the second liquid crystal display part is connected. The second liquid crystal display device is formed by adding the flexible connection substrate to the first liquid crystal display part, and both are driven by the driver circuit. Not only an alternative display but also simultaneous displays can be selectively performed.

Abstract: A waterproof switch apparatus for an electronic device comprises at least one push-button for switching, a sheet-like water sealing member groove-engaged with the shaft portion of the push-button, and a holding member for holding the water sealing member by pressing the outer peripheral portion of the water sealing member against the device body. An excellent waterproof feature and a thin shape of the waterproof switch apparatus can be obtained.

Abstract: A battery holder for electronic apparatus for holding a coin-shaped battery includes a battery case which is provided with at least two protrusions, the coin-shaped battery being inserted in such a way that it is placed under these protrusions. Electrode terminals exert a resilient force so that the coin-shaped battery may be secured in position while maintaining satisfactory contact with the electrode terminals.

Abstract: A display device for electrical equipment includes a casing for the equipment, a transparent plate mounted in the casing, a display panel positioned in the casing inwardly of the transparent plate, a single resilient connector received in a recess formed in the casing, and a printed board securedly held in the casing by means of fastening members. The display panel is disposed adjacent an end of the printed board and extends in the direction perpendicular to the plane of the printed board. The resilient connector serves to electrically connect the printed board to the display panel and has an elongated rod shape and a channel-shaped cross-section.
