  • Patent number: 10949823
Abstract: An information processing system, apparatus, method, and medium in which the purchase of content is facilitated. When a device to which content data is downloaded and a device for giving an instruction to purchase the content data are different, a purchase form for purchasing the content data is sent to the device giving an instruction to purchase the content data. The user ID and password are input into the purchase form, and the device to which the content data is downloaded, is determined by the user ID. If the device to which the content data is downloaded cannot be specified because the user registers a plurality of devices, a destination determination form specifying the device to which the content data is downloaded, is sent. The content data is then distributed to the device indicated in the destination determination form.

  • Patent number: 7483942
Abstract: Upon receiving a request for distribution of content data, determination is made whether or not the transmission can be performed, based upon a transmission reservation table. If a user has specified the transmission point in time, a transmission device refers to the reservation state corresponding to the specified point in time, and if available, the transmission device makes a reservation for the specified transmission point in time. Otherwise, the transmission device makes a reservation for an available transmission point in time near the specified point in time, as appropriate. If the user has not specified the transmission point in time, the transmission device transmits the content data at an available point in time, as appropriate. If the transmission device cannot acquire predetermined information, and accordingly cannot determine the transmission point in time, the transmission device generates a schedule indicating that the transmission point in time has not been fixed.

  • Publication number: 20050278369
Abstract: The present invention relates to an information processing system, an information processing apparatus and method, and a program in which the purchase of content can be facilitated. When giving content data as a present, a sender giving the content data sends first information for identifying the sender, second information for identifying the destination of the present, and third information for determining the content data to be given. Then, mail querying whether to accept the content data as a present is delivered to the destination of the present based on the second information. Then, only when a response indicating that the content data is to be accepted as a present is returned in response to the mail, the processing concerning the present is executed. The present invention is applicable to a server for executing processing concerning content data.

  • Patent number: 5133613
Abstract: A printing head includes solenoids arranged in an annular array for driving needles which are arranged in a zigzag array of two vertical columns. Solenoids corresponding to needles forming one of the columns are arranged on a semicircle of the annular array in the same order as that of the needles on the needle column. Two solenoids respectively corresponding to needles disposed at lower ends of the two needle columns are designed to generate magnetic fluxes whose directions are the same. During underline printing where these two solenoids are alternately energized, the magnetic flux generated by one of the solenoids never acts to increase an effective magnetic flux of the other solenoid at an initial stage of the excitation period thereof, so that the needle of the first solenoid reaches its forwardmost position at an appropriate time. The needle is rapidly restored and its tip prevented from being caught by the ink ribbon.

  • Patent number: 4988222
Abstract: A dot matrix double print head including a front actuator and a rear actuator is disclosed. Each actuators has a print wire unit in which a plurality of print wires are slidably mounted, a plurality of electromagnets, and a plurality of armatures corresponding to the number of electromagnets. The length of the armature of the rear actuator is smaller than that of the front actuator, and thereby the moments of inertia of each of the armatures and print wires of both the actuators approach each other.
