    Abstract: A vehicular headlamp in which a light source and an actuator are connected to a power source using the minimum number of parts, lamp body waterproofing and dustproofing are assured, and each connector is firmly secured to the lamp body of the headlamp. The headlamp includes the actuator for operating a light distribution changing device that changes the distribution of light emitted from the light source. A hookup connector which is provided with a connection portion connected to a power side connector provided on a power cord connected to a vehicle power source at one end thereof and a connection portion connected to the light source side connector and the actuator side connector at the other end thereof is mounted in a hole formed in the lamp body. The hookup connector has a flange which covers the periphery of the opening.

    Abstract: A vehicle indicator lamp is described that radiates red light and which has a superior sense of transparency and an excellent appearance. The lamp includes a cylindrical red transparent cap around a light-source bulb with respect to a lamp chamber for a rear fog lamp. A reflective surface forms the rear portion of the lamp chamber and diffuses and reflects light from the light-source bulb. A portion of a front lens is formed of a colorless transparent lens. When the lamp chamber is observed from the front, the reflective surface is visible through the colorless transparent lens and the red color of the red transparent cap can be seen reflected on the entire surface of the reflective surface or a part thereof. As a result, the sense of transparency of the lamp fixture is improved and the vehicle indicator lamp exhibits a novel appearance compared with that of conventional lamps having a single front red lens.

    Abstract: A thin film field effect transistor has a hate electrode formed on a glass substrate and a gate insulation film. A channel region, formed of a semiconductor layer, is provided to be opposite to the gate electrode through the gate insulation film, and a pair of source/drain regions, formed of a n-type semiconductor layer, is provided to sandwich the channel region therebetween. An insulation channel protection layer is formed on the channel region. A silicide layer is formed on the source/drain regions, and source/drain electrodes comes in contact therewith. The drain electrode of the source/drain electrodes has an electrode extension portion extending onto the channel protection layer, and being opposite to the channel region through the channel protection layer.

    Abstract: A TFT includes a channel region provided on a substrate and having on the both sides a pair of source region and a drain region formed of an amorphous semiconductor layer, a gate electrode provided above or below the channel region through a gate insulating layer, and wiring electrodes which contact the source region and the drain region directly or indirectly, and wherein a surface portion of the source region and drain region contacting the wiring electrodes directly or indirectly comprises a semiconductor layer containing crystalline structure. By this structure, a thin film transistor can be obtained capable of operating at high speed with high drive capability.
