Patent number: 5687918Abstract: A garbage disposal for decomposing garbage with microorganisms. The garbage disposal has a tank containing a mixture of garbage, a medium having microorganisms, stirring means for stirring the mixture in the tank in order to supply air into the mixture, and control means for controlling water content percentage of the mixture. The control means controls a stirring of the mixture and/or a temperature of the mixture and/or an air volume blown on the mixture in order to keep water content percentage in a proper value at which the microorganisms are active and a lifetime of the medium is extended.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 1995Date of Patent: November 18, 1997Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha ToshibaInventors: Tohoru Kubota, Yoshimi Ishikawa, Seizo Ishine, Toshio Ohtsuki, Hiroshi Tamura, Syunro Kawaguchi, Kazuhiro Narusaka, Hidehisa Ide

Patent number: 5418760Abstract: An electronic device including a switch member which has a multiplicity of switch contacts provided thereon, a film liquid crystal display unit disposed above the switch member and having openings provided at positions opposite to the respective switch contacts, and operation members disposed in the corresponding openings so as to depress the operation members from above the film liquid crystal display. By the depression of the respective operation members, the corresponding switch contacts are switched. According to this structure, the switching operations are performed on the film liquid crystal display unit, so that the operability of the switches is improved and the device itself is miniaturized.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 1993Date of Patent: May 23, 1995Assignee: Casio Computer Co., Ltd.Inventors: Kazuyo Kawashima, Yoshimi Ishikawa

Patent number: 5031878Abstract: This invention relates to valve seats that are made of a sintered Fe-base alloy that has high wear resistance, that is less hostile to valves and that hence is suitable for use with internal combustion engines such as diesel engines and gasoline engines, particularly those having high power outputs, the sintered Fe base alloy comprising a sintered Fe base alloy substrate having such a structure that hard particles A that contain 25-45% Cr, 20-30% W, 20-30% Co, 1-3% C, 0.2-2% Si and 0.2-2% Nb, with the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, and hard particles B that contain 55-65% Co, 25-32% Cr, 7-10% Mo and 1.5-3.5% Si, with the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, are dispersed in a total amount of 10-25% in an Fe base alloy matrix that contains 1-3% Cr, 0.5-3% Mo, 0.5-3% Ni, 2-8% Co, 0.6-1.5% C and 0.2-1% Nb, with the balance being Fe and incidental impurities, and which has a structure that is mainly composed of a pearlitic and a bainitic phase, all the percents being on a weight basis.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 1990Date of Patent: July 16, 1991Assignee: Mitsubishi Metal CorporationInventors: Yoshimi Ishikawa, Osamu Mayama

Patent number: 4836848Abstract: An Fe-base sintered alloy for valve seats for use in internal combustion engines and a method of manufacturing the same are provided. The alloy consists essentially of 0.6 to 1.3% C, 1 to 5% Cr, 4 to 15% Mo, 0.5 to 2% Ni, 2 to 8% Co, 0.2 to 2% Nb, 0.2 to 2% at least one lubricating component selected from the group consisting of a CaF.sub.2 and BaF.sub.2 and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities. Starting powders are blended into the same composition as above, and mixed into a mixed powder. The mixed powder is pressed into a green compact. Then, the green compact is presintered, hot forged, sintered, and, if required, further heat treated, in sequence to be formed into an Fe-base sintered alloy having a structure wherein particles of the at least one lubricating component and hard particles of other components are dispersed in a matrix formed principally of a pearlite phase. The resulting alloy possesses a density of at least 7.3 g/cm.sup.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 1987Date of Patent: June 6, 1989Assignee: Mitsubishi Kinzoku Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Osamu Mayama, Yoshimi Ishikawa

Patent number: 4794998Abstract: A fixing structure is provided for a motorcycle including a swing arm by which an axle having at either end thereof a drive wheel and a torque damping mechanism fixed thereto respectively is rotatably supported substantially at the central part thereof. The fixing structure fixes a driven sprocket to a transversely inner part of an outside constituting member of the torque damping mechanism. The fixing structure includes a plurality of fixing lugs projectingly formed at predetermined intervals on the outer circumference of the outside constituting member, and a plurality of fixing lugs projectingly formed with a predetermined width on the inner circumference of the driven sprocket to be fixedly fastened in a detachable manner with the fixing lugs of the outside constituting member, respectively.Type: GrantFiled: September 18, 1987Date of Patent: January 3, 1989Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Toshiyuki Iwai, Yoshimi Ishikawa

Patent number: 4742884Abstract: A motorcycle having a cantilevered type rear swing arm including a rear brake between the swing arm and the rear wheel. An air inlet is provided on one side of the other rear swing arm in a thin sidewall. An air outlet through a thick sidewall adjacent the brake allows air passage through the swing arm for cooling of the brake.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 1986Date of Patent: May 10, 1988Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Yoshimi Ishikawa

Patent number: 4552373Abstract: An anti-dive device for the telescopic front fork assembly of a motorcycle includes a contraction regulator mounted on the forward face of the bottom case. The bottom case carries the axle for the front wheel. Braking torque causes the movement of a member which movement is reflected through a bell crank assembly to close the valve in a passage connecting the two oil chambers in the front fork assembly. A bypass passage has an orifice member which may be moved to vary the size of a restriction in the bypass passage.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 1984Date of Patent: November 12, 1985Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takeshi Kawaguchi, Yoshimi Ishikawa, Taizo Oonishi

Patent number: 4484652Abstract: A motorcycle frame and suspension system employing a backbone frame member extending rearwardly over an engine and then downwardly where it is associated with an inverted U-shaped center frame. Two pivot mechanisms for a rear fork are positioned in line with the ends of the inverted U-shape center frame and a cushion member is located therebetween. The cushion member is linked at its first end with the middle of the center frame and at its second end to a linkage mechanism fixed to move with the upward pivotal motion of the rear fork. The mechanism is so proportioned as to provide an increasing rate of upward motion to the cushion member as the rear fork moves upwardly. The two pivot mechanisms are not identical, one allowing axial sliding movement and the other not allowing such movement.Type: GrantFiled: August 30, 1982Date of Patent: November 27, 1984Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kouji Shiratsuchi, Yoshimi Ishikawa
