  • Patent number: 6393684
Abstract: An upper and a lower rubber plug holders are provided with fixed arms to be inserted and held in upper and lower fixed blocks, and operatively pushed parts at ends of the fixed arms. The upper and lower fixed blocks are provided with slots in which the fixed arms are inserted and held and from which the operatively pushed parts are protruded on the side opposite to the insertion side. The slots are provided with balls and coil springs which fix the fixed arms inserted into the slots by the insertion of the fixed arms into the slots and allow the fixed arms to be pulled out of the slots by a push of the operatively pushed parts. This structure shortens time to change the parts and ensures easy and positive change of the parts.

  • Patent number: 5570191
Abstract: Connector housings having plural kinds of terminals (plated with different materials, e.g.) are mounted at predetermined locations, positioned and secured by a drive means. A sensor probe which receives a light, of a color detection device, is transferred successively to the locations opposite to the terminals. A color sensor senses a level of a specific color component of the light received by the sensor probe. The sensed level is compared with a predetermined reference level and it can be determined based upon whether the sensed level is higher than the reference level, the kind of the terminals in the connector housings.

  • Patent number: 5501605
Abstract: The present invention provides a connecting configuration in wiring harness assembly or in a junction box used in the wiring harness assembly, wherein a plurality of individual primary wires and branch wires branched therefrom to form sub wiring harnesses are connected to each other per predetermined circuits by connecting means by way of electrically insulating members each made of a sheet or a thin plate covering the joint portions therebetween, which insulating members being piled up in one-on-another form, so that the entire wire connecting configuration can be accommodated in one casing or one box. Since the connecting configuration according to the present invention is constructed as such, minimization, weight saving and integration of a wiring harness assembly or a junction box used therein are all enabled, and alterations including replacement of or addition to the circuits are readily performed.

  • Patent number: 5199799
Abstract: A ball bearing assembly includes a ball retainer for retaining within a predetermined area each of the balls positioned between an inner race and an outer race, the retainer having grease feeding holes which extend toward the balls. Grease is fed only to those balls which actually need lubrication, and no remaining grease flows into a gap between the inner race or the outer race and the ball retainer, therefore frictional force does not increase. In the preferred embodiment, the ball bearing assembly is used to support a head and carriage assembly of a data storage disk apparatus.

  • Patent number: 5124867
Abstract: A ferromagnetic body is attached or embodied within the actuator arm in a disk drive. The ferromagnetic body is positioned so that the magnets of the voice coil motor attract the ferromagnetic body and produce a force to move the actuator arm so the read/write head attached thereto lands in the landing region of the disk in the event of a power interruption.

  • Patent number: 5043834
Abstract: Disclosed is a disk drive which includes a disk, a spindle motor for rotating the disk, an actuator for moving a transducer over the disk, a pivotably mounted latch for locking the actuator, and a controller for rotating the spindle motor at at least two rates. The latch has two ends. On one end, the latch includes a locking member for engaging a notch in the actuator. On the other end of the latch is a vane for producing a force on the latch caused by the airflow from the rotating disk in the disk drive.
