  • Publication number: 20220228305
Abstract: The disclosure provides a nonwoven web, said nonwoven web including a plurality of fibers including a blend of fiber forming materials, the blend of fiber forming materials including a first polyvinyl alcohol polymer. The blend of fiber forming materials further comprises a second polyvinyl alcohol polymer or does not include carboxymethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose or starch. The nonwoven web can be water-dispersible, optionally water-soluble, and/or flushable. The disclosure further provides a pouch including a nonwoven web including a plurality of fibers according to the disclosure. In some embodiments, the water dispersible pouch can include a laminate comprising a water-soluble film and a nonwoven web of the disclosure.

  • Publication number: 20210292933
Abstract: Polyvinyl alcohol-based fibers contain a polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer and an adsorbent. With respect to 100 parts by mass of the polyvinyl alcohol-based polymer, 30 to 500 parts by mass of the adsorbent is contained. The polyvinyl alcohol-based fibers have a crystallinity of polyvinyl alcohol ranging from 30% to 60%, a diameter ranging from 5 ?m to 1000 ?m, and a specific surface area ranging from 10 m2/g to 2000 m2/g.

  • Publication number: 20190329525
Abstract: A sound-absorbing thermal-insulating material (1) includes flame resistant organic fibers (2) and inorganic fibers (4) bonded to the flame resistant organic fibers (2). The flame resistant organic fibers (2) shrink and the inorganic fibers (4) are distorted, so that the flame resistant organic fibers (2) and the inorganic fibers (4) are entangled with one another and distend.
