  • Publication number: 20100265076
Abstract: An optical module with a function to monitor a temperature within the package without installing any specific temperature sensing device is disclosed. The optical module of the invention includes an LD and a monitor PD in a CAN type housing. When the LD is inactive or driven under a constant bias current, the monitor PD receives a constant current independent of the temperature. The forward voltage of the monitor PD indicates the temperature within the package.

  • Patent number: 5274283
Abstract: A gate array includes a plurality of basic cells which each include normally-on type transistors and a plurality of normally-off type transistors. The source electrode, drain electrode and gate electrode of each normally-off type transistor are not connected in common to the electrodes of the other transistors in the cell. Thus, a desired number of normally-off type transistors can be connected to a particular normally-on type transistor by wiring. Thus, unnecessary connections of normally-off type transistors to a normally-on type transistor can be avoided.

  • Patent number: 4512559
Abstract: A leaf spring construction including at least one leaf element made from a flat sheet of uniform width and thickness, the leaf element having an arcuate shape in the transverse cross-section with a convex surface on tension stress side and a concave surface on compression stress side thereof, the leaf element having in cross-section a width b and a transverse center line forming an arc of a radius r.sub.c with the relation of2.0.gtoreq.r.sub.c /b.gtoreq.0.64and a thickness t with the relation of0.2.gtoreq.t/b.gtoreq.0.05In a laminated leaf spring including a plurality of such leaf elements, each leaf element is formed to have a convex surface of a radius of curvature r.sub.o and a concave surface of a radius of curvature r.sub.i in the relation of1.2.gtoreq.r.sub.o /r.sub.i .gtoreq.1.0.

  • Patent number: 4343167
Abstract: Method for manufacturing long bars, round, square or flat, employing multi-tandem type roller dies mechanism in which each roller gap is controlled by the roller gap adjusting mechanism, and apparatus preferably applicable that method. The apparatus is provided with a plurality sets of roller dies, controllers for outputting a respective target roller gap for each roller dies, roller adjusting mechanisms capable of shifting, in accordance with the commanding signals from servo devices based on the output target roller gap, each roller of each set of roller dies symmetrically about the axial line of the die hole formed by the roller dies, roller position sensors for measuring the respective roller gap in order to feed back the measured results to the servo devices, and a propelling mechanism for imparting a deformable blank propelling force.

  • Patent number: 4248072
Abstract: A method of producing a plate material having a uniform width and a lengthwise thickness variation by imparting plastic deformations to a work by means of widthwise rolling rolls and thicknesswise rolling rolls. The method has the steps of measuring the travelling amounts of the work at the outlet sides of the widthwise rolling rolls and the thicknesswise rolling rolls, continuously changing the roll gap of the widthwise rolling rolls in accordance with the measured travelling amount and a predetermined condition so as to reduce the width of the work at portions of the latter where the width is expected to be increased as a result of the subsequent thicknesswise rolling so that the work after the thicknesswise rolling may have a uniform width, and changing the thickness of the work by continuously changing the roll gap in the thicknesswise rolling rolls in accordance with the measured travelling amount and a predetermined condition. Also, disclosed is an apparatus for carrying out this method.
