  • Patent number: 7319911
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a production control apparatus and a method capable of reducing the management load and providing improved convenience. In one embodiment, a control unit assigns an identifier to each unit variation (or each candidate) for each unit to be assembled in a sub-process (or a portion) of the manufacturing process of a product, each unit variation being defined based on requested specifications. Furthermore, the control unit generates and outputs a production plan table that includes sub-identifiers and component identifiers, the sub-identifiers facilitating production planning, the component identifiers being assigned to components used to manufacture each unit variation.

Date of Patent: January 15, 2008
Assignee: Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Netherlands B.V.

  • Patent number: 6758579
Abstract: An illuminating-light controller includes a light modulator for projecting light on a corresponding area by tilting a reflecting surface. A first light source emits a first light that is projected on the corresponding area by illuminating the first light to the reflecting surface of the spatial light modulator being tilted at a first angle. A second light source for emits a second light that is projected on the corresponding area by illuminating the second light to the reflecting surface of the light modulator being tilted at a second angle. Still further, included is a control section for controlling the first light emitted from the first light source and the second light emitted from said second light source.

  • Patent number: 6457833
Abstract: A digital micro mirror device (and a single-panel color projector using a digital micro mirror device) includes a reflection surface including an array of micro mirrors. The reflection surface is divided into two or more areas, and the axis direction about which a mirror of the array of micro mirrors rotates in one area is the same for all of the micro mirrors in the area. The single-panel color projector includes a white light source, a color separator for separating a white light from the white light source into two or more light beams, the digital micro mirror device reflecting the two or more light beams, an illumination light establishing unit for illuminating the two or more light beams from the color separator, and a projection unit for collecting and projecting light reflected from the digital micro mirror device.

  • Patent number: 6219110
Abstract: Light emitted from a white light source is separated into red, green and blue light beams by dichroic mirrors. The resulting light beams are directed onto a lenticular lens system having large-pitch lenticular lenses and small-pitch lenticular lenses formed on opposed surfaces. This lens system converts the red, green and blue light beams incident on each of the large-pitch lenticular lenses into a color band set consisting of a set of separated subbands of the red, green and blue light beams the diameter of which is narrowed down to one-third or less of that of the incident light beam through the small-pitch lenticular lenses. The resulting color band sets emerging from the small-pitch lenticular lenses are focused onto a DMD panel through a mirror galvanometer and a coupling lens. The mirror galvanometer is rotated in such a way as to move the color band sets over the DMD panel up and down by the amount corresponding to the pitch of the color band sets while the DMD panel is being driven.

  • Patent number: 6020940
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a liquid crystal projector comprising a light source for emitting white light, a separation mechanism for separating the white light into light beams with a plurality of colors at different angles, a liquid crystal panel for giving the light beams optical modulation, a lens mechanism for converging the light beams so that the light beams are incident upon respective pixels of the liquid crystal panel, a mechanism for magnifying and projecting the light beams emergent from the liquid crystal panel, and a moving mechanism for moving an incident position of the light beams on the liquid crystal panel an amount of an integer times a pitch between the pixels.
