    Abstract: A laser emitting section 59A and a laser receiving section 59B for measuring an oxygen concentration are provided on two sides of an inspection area so as to be moved toward and away from a bag-shaped container 1. Gas-filled chambers 61 provided on the end faces of the laser emitting section 59A and the laser receiving section 59B are brought into contact with the gas phase portion of the container 1 to keep a constant thickness of the gas phase portion. A tilting device 81 is provided to press the container 1, which is held by a container holder 16, from both sides with a container pressing member 88 and tilts the container 1 in a vertical plane. When an oxygen concentration is measured, the tilting device 81 tilts the bag-shaped container 1 to measure the gas phase portion at the shoulders of the container 1.
