  • Publication number: 20170078211
Abstract: A transmission method executed by a transmission apparatus including a plurality of reception modules that receive packets and a plurality of transmission modules that receive the packets and transmit the packets to destinations of the packets, the transmission method includes extracting, by each of the plurality of reception modules, the amounts of data for respective priority levels of the received packets; transmitting, to one of the plurality of transmission modules, information regarding the extracted amounts of data for the respective priority levels; determining, by the one of the plurality of transmission modules, the amounts of discard data to be discarded for the plurality of respective reception modules, based on the extracted amounts of data for the respective priority levels and the amount of packet data that is able to be output; and notifying the plurality of reception modules of feedback information related to the determined amounts of discard data.

  • Publication number: 20170026264
Abstract: A transmission device includes: one or more processors; and a memory configured to store a program which is executed by the one or more processors, wherein the one or more processors is configured to: measure a communication traffic amount on a line; calculate a degree of change in the communication traffic amount; compare the degree of change in the communication traffic amount with a threshold; and measure, in accordance with a comparison result, the communication traffic amount on the line in accordance with one of a first measurement cycle and a second measurement cycle that is shorter than the first measurement cycle.

  • Publication number: 20140297972
Abstract: A memory control device has a write-request distribution unit and controllers. The write-request distribution unit divides data to be written in a memory and outputs a plurality of divided data blocks obtained by the division while distributing the divided data blocks to a plurality of buses. The controllers write the plurality of divided data blocks output by the write-request distribution unit in the memory through the plurality of buses, with the divided data blocks being in contact with each other in each of the buses.

  • Patent number: 8331389
Abstract: A relay device has a plurality of input/output modules each having input/output ports, each input/output module including throughput measuring means for measuring throughput of communication packets received from other input/output modules, and throughput limiting means for limiting throughput of communication packets to be transferred to the other input/output modules on the basis of the throughput measured by the throughput measuring means, wherein the relay device transfers communication packets between the input/output modules to relay the communication packets.

  • Patent number: 8199756
Abstract: An apparatus for forwarding a frame according to a transfer condition includes a transfer-condition storage unit, a deleted-area data storage unit, and a transfer-condition searching unit. The transfer-condition storage unit stores therein, destination data that is likely to be included in the frame, area data indicating an area of destination indicated by the destination data, and the transfer condition in such a way that the area data and the transfer condition are associated with the destination data. The deleted-area data storage unit stores therein as deleted area data, the area data assigned to data to be deleted from the transfer-condition storage unit. The transfer-condition searching unit removes, from a search target, an area to which the deleted area data stored in the deleted-area data storage unit is assigned, to search, from the transfer-condition storage unit, for the transfer condition corresponding to the destination data included in the frame.

  • Patent number: 7313144
Abstract: A frame transmission device which does not require a separate supervisory line and enables supervisory frames to efficiently enter subscriber traffic for transmission without securing a fixed bandwidth. A supervisory token computing section gives supervisory frames supervisory tokens as permission to transmit within a minimum bandwidth. Subscriber token computing sections give subscriber frames subscriber tokens as permission to transmit within respective set transmission bandwidths. A best-effort token computing section gives the frames best-effort tokens as permission to transmit by using an extra bandwidth. The supervisory or subscriber tokens are given to read frames from a supervisory queue or subscriber queues, and if a frame queue length is smaller than or equal to the best-effort tokens remains in the queue, a queue read control section reads and outputs the remaining frames from the queue by using the extra bandwidth of best-effort tokens.
