  • Patent number: 6645079
Abstract: A damper mechanism 4 is provided to prevent wear and damage to coil springs 21 and spring housing parts thereof. A clutch disk assembly 1 chiefly has an input rotary member 2, an output rotary member 3, and the damper mechanism 4. The damper mechanism 4 elastically couples the input rotary member 2 and the output rotary member 3 together in a rotational direction and includes the coil springs 21 and pairs of spring seats 51 that support end faces of the coils springs 21. Each spring seat 51 has a pair of engaging parts 57 having a pyramidal shape that extends in a direction opposite the coil spring 21, engages with seat bearing parts 86 and 96 formed in the input rotary member 2 such that it cannot rotate, and engages with the circumferentially facing end part of spring housing hole 71.

  • Patent number: 5240097
Abstract: A pull-type clutch having an inner peripheral part of a diaphragm spring sandwiched between a lever plate and a retainer plate both being installed at an outer periphery of a release bearing. The lever plate has a cylindrical body and a radial outer flange at an axial forward side of the cylindrical body and the retainer plate has a disc-like annular body and a plurality of claws extending in radial inward direction and a plurality of projections extending in radial inward and axial forward directions, at an inner periphery of the disc-like annular body with spaces left therebetween. A groove is formed on an outer periphery of the cylindrical body of the lever plate and the tip ends of the claws fit in the grooves so as to secure the retainer plate to the outer periphery of the cylindrical body. The inner peripheral part of the diaphragm spring is sandwiched between the flange and the disc-like annular body radially outside of the projections.

  • Patent number: 4985973
Abstract: A manufacturing method for a disk-like diaphragm spring for making a center hole at a center part, making rectangular holes on an outer peripheral part with specified spaces left between such holes in a circumferential direction, forming plural ligulated fingers radially by means of plural radial slits extending from such rectangular holes to the center hole and inner peripheral parts of the fingers to be pressed by a release bearing. The method comprises a step of punching such rectangular holes and slits out of a disc-like blank with a press and forming between the slits tapered ligulated fingers and a process of punching out a center hole by using a gear-shaped press die having circular tip portions at the same spacing as the slits for forming tapered openings at the slits extending radially outward from the center hole slits and circular ends on the fingers.

  • Patent number: 4928805
Abstract: A friction device of a damper disk comprises a hub provided with a flange, a pair of annular side plates disposed at opposite sides of the flange, springs disposed in openings in the side plates and the flange for connecting the side plates to the flange, a pair of annular sub-plates disposed around the hub with the side plates and the flange therebetween, first friction mechanisms disposed between the side plates and the flange, respectively, second friction mechanisms disposed between the side plates and the adjacent sub-plates, respectively, stud pins rigidly connecting the both of the sub-plates together, and bent portions formed at one of the side plates, passing though the openings in the flange and axially contacting the other side plate.

  • Patent number: 4681201
Abstract: A clutch disc having a spline hub spline fitting onto a main drive shaft, characterized by that the clutch disc is equipped with a forced inclining mechanism, in which a spline hole of the spline hub is forcedly inclined in relation to an axis of the main drive shaft under a condition that a facing surface is pressed on a flywheel, and the spline hole of the spline hub is kept parallel with the axis of the main drive shaft under a condition that the facing surface is not pressed thereon.
